Our 4 year old has been going to Ducklings Wallingford since he was an infant, which was also when the school opened – so he's a kid from their inaugural 'class' and we've been through almost all of the classroom levels with him :) Our two older children attended in-home daycares, which had always been our preference, but we had several issues during that experience, which lead us to choose a daycare center for our last baby. While it was a very different experience from in-home, it was a positive one. We never had to worry about unexpected closures, safety and cleanliness, or lack of transparency. The Brightwheel app is a game-changer, and the staff at DW uses it expertly – you can see pictures and videos, send and receive messages from their teachers and admins, and see updates from their day, including bottles, meals, snacks, naps, and diapers/potty. Ducklings Wallingford is different than all the other daycare centers we've toured over the years. Halley and Ed are the owners and they are on site every day, making connections with the kids, families, and staff members, and making the magic happen. They come up with so many fun special events and days for the kids. They are also residents in the community like our family, and make Ducklings a part of the larger community by sponsoring local events and using local talent for their parties and events, activities, artwork, etc. Oh and their playground and indoor gym space are AH-mazing 🧡💛🩵 Shout out to Miss Alyssa, Miss Nini, both Miss Danielle's, and all the helpers!! 📣

The teachers and staff are kind, thoughtful and clearly have great relationships with the students - my child loves going to school. They are very organized with their communication, and we love the various school programs they offer throughout the year (holiday concert, Halloween parties etc!) My son is learning so much. Can’t recommend enough.

I started Ducklings Wallingford in August of 2023 and was nervous getting back into the work field with a 4 month old baby. Halley always made me feel so welcomed and made it an easy transition as being a first time mom and going back to work! Since the first day, I knew my daughter was in great hands and was being loved and well taken care of! Ducklings Wallingford has given me lots of support and is definitely a place to grow! I have made life lasting friendships and Ed and Halley always make us feel so appreciated. My now 2 year old is striving and loves coming to school every day! I made the best choice choosing Ducklings Wallingford and they are the village you need and always there to give a helping hand. Ducklings Wallingford is my home away from home and my second family! ❤️ There is never a dull moment at Ducklings!

Our son has always loved going to school here, since infancy, it is a place he feels safe and comfortable. The teachers are outstanding and plan enriching activities and curriculums for the students. I cannot recommend Ducklings Wallingford enough. We feel absolutely lucky and grateful to be part of this community!!!

The facility is always clean and welcoming, and the teachers truly care about each child’s growth and well-being. They helped our daughter adjust quickly when she first started, and supported her transition to an older kids' classroom with much thoughtful planning and preparation. We also really appreciate the clear and consistent communication from the staff throughout the day. It’s reassuring to stay informed and feel connected to what our daughter is experiencing. A special shoutout to her amazing teachers – Ms. Val, Ms. Kristyn, and Ms. Alex. They care for her with so much love and creativity, always introducing fun crafts and engaging activities that she truly enjoys. The joy and comfort our daughter feels at Ducklings speak volumes about the nurturing environment they’ve created. We wholeheartedly recommend Ducklings Wallingford to any family looking for a safe, fun, and enriching place for their child to grow.
