we love early years! coming up on a year, and the team has been amazing with our son. we know he’s in great hands! they deeply care and are communicative, friendly, and fun
Laine DealJun 12, 2026The Early Years McCandless location, where my children attend, is by far one of the best daycare centers I have ever experienced. Safety, happiness and the growth of children are what Danielle and her team strive for every day using only the best researched based practices. They are forever evolving and improving as staff are routinely given professional developmental opportunities to meet the needs of every child/parent/family. The teachers and other families at the center are an extended support system for my children, my husband and myself. Each member of the EY team loves my children for their unique personalities. They embrace each child in their care and are true "early childhood educators". They are the perfect combination of soft and strong for the young minds and hearts they work with on a daily basis. I am deeply grateful to the teachers at McCandless EY and would recommend this site to any prospective family looking for the best care for their child(ren).
Erin WachterJun 11, 2026We are so glad we found Early Years for our little one! She has been at EY for just over two years, and we could not be more pleased with the love and care she receives. Communication from staff is always wonderful- in person or in the app. EY has given us a community with other families, too. Dropping off or picking up, we always feel like we are a part of a family when we are there. Our daughter loves the staff, and seeing how they care about/for her makes us so happy! Thank you, Early Years!
Lauren FordJun 11, 2026This is like a warning for all families...Please don't send your beloved babies to this daycare because it's the worst option you could choose...Unprofessional staff ...poor accommodation and resources.

Questions parents ask about EARLY YEARS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS
Is EARLY YEARS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?
- Yes. EARLY YEARS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS holds Pennsylvania certificate 100139952-0007, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Allegheny County. The current certificate runs to August 27, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is EARLY YEARS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania publishes no Keystone STARS tier for EARLY YEARS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS. Keystone STARS is voluntary, so a provider with no tier has not taken part rather than been judged. Licensing and STARS are separate: a provider without a tier is still certified and still inspected.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against EARLY YEARS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS?
- No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against EARLY YEARS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
Does EARLY YEARS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. EARLY YEARS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 5.
Does this page show inspection results for EARLY YEARS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects EARLY YEARS CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
