Extraordinary Scholars Academy is by far the best childcare facility I’ve come across. The staff is amazing and the environment is very inviting and safe. I also appreciate how they help mold our children into being well rounded individuals. From art to sports. I definitely recommend enrolling your child/children here!!
Jamilla GreenFeb 9, 2024Being nervous about putting My son in daycare until I came across Mr. Najee and his family., When I say the BEST STAFF!!!! Hands down. I have never met a family oriented daycare, they’re very welcoming they listen, attentive to the children. You see some daycares where the kids are not learning and just playing all day. Not here, children of all ages and backgrounds are welcome. If you need a daycare or after school program for your child, Extraordinary Scholars is where you should be.
B DURFeb 8, 2024ESA was my first daycare experience and i have been so satisfied with the growth, learning experiences and the fact that the classes are small and attentive to the children. My daughter has been enrolled since she was 7 months, she’s 6 In kindergarten and still attends before and after care with them. The communication is always open, and the mindfulness that each child is different has been my favorite thing about the staff. They give children the attention they deserve, and the desires to be anything in this world. They allow the kids to imagine, explore and observe. They teach them the importance of cleanliness and being kind. ESA thank you for allowing us to be apart of y’all family for so many years!
BRITTINY MARTINEZMar 3, 2023We've been an ESA family since 2016, when my daughter was 12 weeks old. My three year-old son is happily enrolled there presently, and my now 6-yo daughter even hangs out at ESA when her school is closed for the day, which is an absolutely life-saver. I love that they also have before and aftercare for school-aged kids, and they all intermingle during that after-school hour, Sometimes, I pick up my son and he's bouncing around with another 3 year old, and sometimes he's playing a memory game with a couple of *very* patient 8 year olds... The folks at ESA are reliable, accessible and care so deeply about both of my kids. They're a staple in our lives, and I don't know what we'd do without them. They even threw us an African-themed going away party when we left for six months to go to live in W Africa. Highly recommend!
Amanda BaumanOct 14, 2022I feel so lucky that my friend pointed me to this daycare. We absolutely love it here at ESA and cannot recommend them enough. The minute you enroll your child you are apart of a family here at ESA. We were super sad they had to close down for some time due to COVID but am EXTREMELY HAPPY they are back in business. As a first time mom I was extremely nervous and worried. Mrs Tiffany and Mrs Niamah made me feel extremely comfortable with leaving my daughter in their care. All the teachers are wonderful. I love that they love their jobs and care for my daughter as if she was their own. They have been phenomenal about communicating during COVID and I feel comfortable with their protocols. The daycare is super clean which is a major plus in my book! It brings me joy that my daughter gets excited to get out of her stroller once we get in those doors and see her teacher and little friends. I can't rave about them enough. My daughter loves books and playing with toys. We are extremely happy with this daycare and will be very sad when it's time to graduate to the next level in a few years.
Linda LimSep 28, 2022Extraordinary Scholars Academy is a wonderful place to have your children. Small class sizes with caring and attentive teachers. Learning is such a breeze for my children and encouraged daily. My children absolutely love it here. The facility is also very clean and they have taken major precautions to make sure the children are practicing good hygiene skills in these uncertain times. Sanitizing is a must as soon as you walk in which I love. I really appreciate the staff and their attention to my children’s needs. More over I appreciate that the staff is understanding, caring, and they go above and beyond to make sure that my children are getting the best care possible. I would recommend Extraordinary Scholars to anyone looking for full or parts childcare. Believe me you won’t be disappointed

- Pennsylvania rates EXTRAORDINARY SCHOLARS ACADEMY STAR 2, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on February 26, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against EXTRAORDINARY SCHOLARS ACADEMY?
- No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against EXTRAORDINARY SCHOLARS ACADEMY at the time the record was published. Does EXTRAORDINARY SCHOLARS ACADEMY accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. EXTRAORDINARY SCHOLARS ACADEMY holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 18.
Does this page show inspection results for EXTRAORDINARY SCHOLARS ACADEMY?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects EXTRAORDINARY SCHOLARS ACADEMY's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
