  • After picking up our son last week Friday 9/9/16, my wife & I noticed a very bad diaper rash along with an awful abrasion on his left ear. His butt was bright red and it looked like the top layer of his skin peeled. Our son is 7 months old and was in pain. On top of it all, our son is teething. Last weekend was awful and hard for our son and for us. When we addressed this with the new director & his teachers, no one knew or "had no idea" how/when it happened. It was obvious that they neglected to change his diaper for many hours. We decided to pull our son out and requested a refund for the week we paid for in advance. The new director informed us that we couldn't get a refund as instructed from the owner since according to the contract, we had to give them 2 weeks’ notice. ARE YOU SERIOUS?? They failed to uphold their part of the contract when our son received a harsh diaper rash and abrasion on his ear without receiving a call or a note from his teachers. Our son was only there for 2 weeks and this happened. I've already filed a complaint with every agency possible that addresses daycare child neglect issues. Please be careful with Fairy Tale Academy and if you leave your child in Fairy Tale, make sure you don't pay in advance. Pay weekly. Thank you for reading.

  • I have absolutely great things to say about Fairy Tale Academy. Both my children love their teachers. The staff is top notch. It's a great place if you are looking for a child care center.

  • My daughter has been coming to fairy tale academy for 2 years and always has a great day at school! The facility is clean, and most importantly SAFE with a beautiful new playground. Miss Nikki always makes sure to go above and beyond with making us aware of new things in the center, and I appreciate that!

  • My daughter has been attending Fairy Tale since she was eight weeks old. My family really lucked out because they had an opening for one child at the time. I had just started a new job at a new company, and we were still neck-deep in search of a daycare. For context, we reached out to at least 25 places long before our daughter was born, with waitlists at least 18 months long. We love FTA, and the teachers are great. They were very willing to listen to my husband and my concerns, answer any questions, and inform us of any milestones or issues our daughter experienced. She loves her teachers and they know her so well, not just the teachers in her classroom; the entire staff knows my child and is very sweet to her. As a first-time mom, I found it incredibly comforting knowing she has a whole staff looking after her.

  • I cannot say enough good things about Fairy Tale Academy they take amazing care of my grand daughter, she have been there since she was an infant, and I can truly put the health and wellness of the children at the forefront. Fairy Tale Academy, has really exceeded my expectations, Everyone who works at the center is friendly really informative and a great positive attitudes, they keep my daughter updated about everything that goes on with the children care, great and educated on early childhood development. Overall I feel incredibly at ease having my daughter drop off my grand daughter everyday, I know her health and wellbeing are in the best of hands. If your looking for a good fit for your child, I would recommend you to take a tour with them

Questions parents ask about FAIRY TALE ACADEMY

Is FAIRY TALE ACADEMY a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. FAIRY TALE ACADEMY holds Pennsylvania certificate 100131275-0003, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Delaware County. The current certificate runs to November 23, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is FAIRY TALE ACADEMY's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates FAIRY TALE ACADEMY STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on November 24, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against FAIRY TALE ACADEMY?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against FAIRY TALE ACADEMY at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does FAIRY TALE ACADEMY accept child care subsidy?

Yes. FAIRY TALE ACADEMY holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 15.

Does this page show inspection results for FAIRY TALE ACADEMY?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects FAIRY TALE ACADEMY's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
