It is all in the name; you are treated like family and loved like friends. We have been over the moon with this facility. I trust them wholeheartedly with my children.
Monica MeddaughApr 28, 2026I had a deeply concerning experience with this daycare and its owner, Wendy. From the outset, I found the environment to be unprofessional and not parent-friendly. According to the DHS, they still enforce outdated COVID emergency protocols that prevent parents from entering the building, which is unnecessary and unsettling. Instead, staff members are sent outside to take the children in, making drop-offs feel impersonal and limiting parental involvement. My daughter attended for about five months, but we chose not to send her in for her last day due to serious worries about her care. After she developed a cold, I brought over some over-the-counter medications, including nasal spray and chest rub, hoping to help her recover when she returned to the center. Although Wendy assured me they would administer these, the next day we were informed that they do not give OTC medications. Their parent handbook and medication policy states otherwise, which left me confused and misled. When I sought clarification about their medication policy, they responded that they “don’t have enough time” to administer OTC meds and decided to terminate my child’s enrollment, citing too much back-and-forth communication. Additionally, I noticed OTC medications for a different child left unattended on the front desk counter one morning, posing a safety risk to the children. When I raised this concern and sent a photo of it via email, the owner dismissed it, claiming they were out of reach, despite being easily accessible to kids. On top of that, my daughter was picked up with soiled underwear, which raised further alarm about the care she was receiving. After witnessing her distress and reluctance to return to the daycare, we decided against sending her back. I am genuinely concerned about the treatment my daughter received and hope no other children have to face similar issues in this daycare. A report has been made to the DHS to investigate the facility for their outdated COVID procedures with not allowing parents to enter, their medication policies and procedures, along with suspected retaliation towards my child for issues unrelated to her in any way.
Devyn DelgadoOct 25, 2024I cannot express how much I love this daycare enough! The staff is beyond attentive, caring, and kind! Both my children have attended 5 days a week, 9 hour days, and are loved and well cared for! My kids can be loud, adventurously curious, and sometimes rather difficult but I don’t ever have to worry when my children are there. The education aspect is also incredible! My oldest just started kindergarten this year and after attending Family and Friends for almost 4 years prior, she could not have been more adequately prepared for this transition and new beginning! I cannot thank Family and Friends enough for everything they have done! We love this place!
Lauren StokesSep 19, 2024Both of my kids have been attending Family & Friends for the past 4 years, and I can’t rave enough about the kindness and attention we have received. The teachers and staff work with my kids needs and are extremely communicative. My son began here at 22 months old, and he was so well-prepared for kindergarten. My daughter began here at 12 months and is so social and loves to “go to school.” We now drive 20 minutes each way to get here - that’s how much we trust the staff and like the curriculum. They are also incredibly careful and clean and follow state guidelines to the letter, something I’ve been grateful for these last couple years. I would recommend Family & Friends to anyone!
Christina GurryApr 2, 2022After going through 2 other horrible daycare experiences, Family and Friends have far surpassed our expectations. They are honest, dependable, and are willing to work with you. With two boys with high energy, they were able to prepare my oldest for kindergarten and help my youngest get where he needed to be and give him extra help where he needed. Love this place. They treat everyone like family.
GeorgiaApr 2, 2022This day care is wonderful. The staff are very friendly and professional. Our child is always smiling when we drop him off. This is a great daycare to have your child at. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Does FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAYCARE CENTER LLC accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. FAMILY AND FRIENDS DAYCARE CENTER LLC holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. - No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
