  • Everyone at the center has been fantastic. My children have been there for about 2 months and the communication has been more than I would have imagined. Understand that teachers on their phones could be part of updating the center's app as there are always pictures and updates being posted or teachers responding to messages from parents. Food is provided by parents and if my child comes home hungry it's bc he refused to eat what I packed for him. I'm confident my kids are being well taken care of at that center from drop off to pickup and they are all very accommodating and caring. I am so happy we changed from another local center to Firm Foundations.

  • I don’t normally leave reviews, but because this involves my children I feel I need to speak up. I am extremely disappointed with the way things are run at this place. As soon as you walk in, most of the teachers ignore you and look like they don’t want to be there. Many are on their phones while the children are doing whatever they want. Communication with parents is also very poor. They don’t let you know when your child is running low on supplies until you’re already at work or it’s the last minute. My children’s belongings would often disappear, and my kids were frequently dirty when I picked them up. They would also come home extremely hungry, which was very concerning. What really did it for me was my toddler being bitten more than once. For a child to be bitten repeatedly means the children are not being watched properly, which is completely unacceptable. On top of that, many of the teachers act unprofessionally and gossip in front of the children. My school-aged kids would even come home repeating things they heard. I will say that Miss Rachael was always very kind, loving, and professional with my children. Miss Hazel was another teacher my daughter often spoke highly of and emphasized how good she was to her. Overall, my experience has been very disappointing.

  • I am sharing this review as a community concern rather than a personal grievance. The leadership at this center has recently made hiring decisions that raised serious questions for me regarding judgment and standards. A former staff member was brought back after being involved in a publicly known legal incident outside of work that relates to honesty and trust. While people deserve second chances, childcare settings require especially high levels of integrity, discretion, and accountability. The lack of transparency around this decision left me uncomfortable, particularly given the responsibility involved in caring for young children. Parents deserve to feel confident that hiring practices and background checks are handled with the utmost care. I encourage parents to ask questions and advocate for clarity when choosing a childcare provider.

  • Julie is a great, personable owner. You can tell she cares about the kids and cares about running a great center. My son loves his teachers and friends. He looks forward to going to school each week.

Is FIRM FOUNDATIONS EARLY LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. FIRM FOUNDATIONS EARLY LEARNING CENTER holds Pennsylvania certificate 104258325-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Lehigh County. The current certificate runs to December 6, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is FIRM FOUNDATIONS EARLY LEARNING CENTER's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates FIRM FOUNDATIONS EARLY LEARNING CENTER STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on October 29, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against FIRM FOUNDATIONS EARLY LEARNING CENTER?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against FIRM FOUNDATIONS EARLY LEARNING CENTER at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does FIRM FOUNDATIONS EARLY LEARNING CENTER accept child care subsidy?

Yes. FIRM FOUNDATIONS EARLY LEARNING CENTER holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 14.

Does this page show inspection results for FIRM FOUNDATIONS EARLY LEARNING CENTER?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects FIRM FOUNDATIONS EARLY LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
