I am devastated to be leaving this daycare with my family moving. My son began attending at 4 months old and the teachers were exceedingly kind and responsive to this new and anxious mother. I received regular photos and updates and a quick turnaround when I had questions of my own. They went out of their way to send messages checking on my son when I kept him home sick, and I truly felt like they became my friends or at the very least, an important part of my support system in raising him. I would recommend this facility to anyone, we had nothing but positive experiences working with them in both classrooms as well as the Director who also went above and beyond to know every child and family that attended.
Emily SchickMay 15, 2025As a mother of 5 and grandmother of 2, I am very pleased with the care I witnessed of my grandchild and the other children at this daycare. She is happy, when I have picked her up. As a behavioral health RN, I respect the care, as evidenced by the children's response at the facility to their caregivers, when I have stopped by.
Stacey BeebeApr 7, 2019Flying Hills Preschool is a wonderful.place for.children to learn and grow. It is both fun and educational. The teachers really care and they have an obvious love of children. It is also, a great, rewarding place to work. The staff is friendly and they all work as a team to make it a rewarding experience for the children and to make the environment clean and safe for the children to learn and play in. The director/owner is truly the best there is and makes all feel.welcome and part of one big happy family. She gets to know each and every child and makes each one feel special. The whole staff also, makes the parents feel welcome and to have peace, knowing their children will be well cared for and loved and nurtured.
Colleen ParksApr 5, 2019Wow!!!! All I can say is how blown away I was by every aspect of this childcare center. This daycare, particularly the infant room has surpassed every expectation i had. The teachers are wonderful and truly care for each child's well being and miles stones. My son has been attending this center for about 2 months now and I have not had a single issue. The teachers keep me informed at all times. I recieve pictures throughout the day of my little one and the activities he is participating in. It takes a lot to be a teacher, it takes a saint to care for children and babies with such joy and passion as these teachers do. The environment if bright and fun with tons of the childrens artwork displayed for all to see. My son has not had any illnesses since in their care because they clean every inch of this place top to bottom. If you are looking for a daycare for your children be sure to visit this one first!!!! We love this daycare and are so happy that our little boy loves it just as much!
Gennie DeitzApr 4, 2019My daughter loves her teachers and they make sure she is learning what she needs to learn. They try to make sure all opportunities are given for the child to get any extra help needed. The only downside is some of the teachers are only part time while going to school and my daughter cries when they leave for the summer. The classrooms are kept as clean as they can be with children running around. The pricing is comparable to other pre-schools however the quality is much better than the others in the same range.
Kirsten RentschlerJan 9, 2019terrible, dirty, small, some of the teachers are great, it's too expensive for them to not provide any meals, diapers, wipes, etc. infant comes home constantly dirty, what's the point of doing info sheets every day if they don't really care or follow directions. they cross contaminate bottles: if baby doesn't finish bottle, they will save the bottle and continue to use or transfer formula/milk to next bottle. child comes home with unexplained scratches or marks with no accident report. teachers over exaggerate child's behavior in a tiny confined room; some teachers lack patience and scolds kids and inherently bullies other kids. Child was told Child X is constantly bad so we call them rotten apples and good kids are called candy apples...wth is that about? Conducts child behavior reviews out in the middle...embarrassing. this place is disgusting. there's no consistency with teachers, if there was a concerning note, when we pick up kids at the end of the day to discuss, the providers always say: "I don't know, I just got here so I didn't observe XYZ." Closed from 26DEC-1JAN...for parents that need to work during the holidays, good luck, you are on your own. Infant room is disgusting and dirty! they allow regular shoes that has mud and dirt and bacteria and hot garbage juice to walk into the infant room without taking shoes off or shoe covers, so your child is constantly sick. They disinfect toys by spraying disinfectant but do not separate to cover everything, so it sits in the bins, moist, and inside, like that's going to clean toys. I had to pull my kids out as soon as there was availability in another daycare because this one is hell. the only good thing is about this place is that it seems to always have availability because no one wants to place kids here. very disappointed for the amount it costs.

Questions parents ask about FLYING HILLS PRESCHOOL
Is FLYING HILLS PRESCHOOL a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?
- Yes. FLYING HILLS PRESCHOOL holds Pennsylvania certificate 100131542-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Berks County. The current certificate runs to May 1, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is FLYING HILLS PRESCHOOL's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania rates FLYING HILLS PRESCHOOL STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on August 21, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against FLYING HILLS PRESCHOOL?
- No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against FLYING HILLS PRESCHOOL at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
Does FLYING HILLS PRESCHOOL accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. FLYING HILLS PRESCHOOL holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 13.
Does this page show inspection results for FLYING HILLS PRESCHOOL?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects FLYING HILLS PRESCHOOL's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
