  • I continue to be impressed by GK Upper Allen. My daughter (3) has been here since April, and we both LOVE it. The entire staff is friendly and competent -- but the preschool teacher (Miss Jeannette) is just hands-down the absolute best. My daughter asks to go to school on the weekends because her class is always doing so many fun activities (blanket forts, feeding the birds, dancing popcorn experiment, etc.) and crafts (planets, calm down bottles, sun catchers, etc.). The owner and director are lovely to interact with and are a breath of fresh air compared to our own experiences elsewhere. I will continue to shout out GK whenever I hear of anyone looking for new childcare options in the area. Seriously, the tour is free & there is no pressure at the end -- except maybe from parents like me who want more friends for our littles to play with 😊

  • I personally love this daycare! I had my daughter previously enrolled at the other location with the promise of moving to this location when it would open up and the first location was good however I had a few minor issues but Kiran the owner and Kacey the manager were always very quick to resolve and then when I moved to THIS location I have not had a SINGLE thing to complain about at all, from the way that Amy cares for our daughter, to the one on one learning she receives, to the way she never lets her go without anything to the few times she even shared things with her from her own personal lunchbox, or the way she cares for our daughter as her very own, the many activities that they do and all the photos they post through the day, the way you can log on the app and get updates of her whole day at any point and reach either Pam or Amy at any moment in the day and even Kiran if need be is such a comforting feeling. I can go to work and not have to worry about anything when she is in there care and to me that’s the most important part of choosing a daycare center. This has by far been my favorite daycare center for our daughter and I can’t think of anything I would do different other than maybe cameras but they don’t give me any reason to even want that in the center, and maybe providing meals but honestly those are so minuscule in the grander scheme of things and I LOVE Genius Kids! Thank you for always ALWAYS caring for our daughter as if she was your own, that goes for all the staff that interact with her at any given moment during the week! We appreciate you all!

  • Genius kids has been a breath of fresh air. Our child attends and is thriving. All of the management and teaching staff are wonderful. They treat our child like one of their own. The center is extremely clean and well organized. They provide a lot of individualized attention. The way they truly care for our child has not only been reassuring, but incredibly heartwarming. Daycare is a tough transition for any parent, but Genius Kids has made it as smooth as possible! I look forward to watching my child grow at the center.

Questions parents ask about GENIUS KIDS UPPER ALLEN

Is GENIUS KIDS UPPER ALLEN a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. GENIUS KIDS UPPER ALLEN holds Pennsylvania certificate 104604522-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Cumberland County. The current certificate runs to July 7, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is GENIUS KIDS UPPER ALLEN's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates GENIUS KIDS UPPER ALLEN STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on July 24, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against GENIUS KIDS UPPER ALLEN?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against GENIUS KIDS UPPER ALLEN at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does GENIUS KIDS UPPER ALLEN accept child care subsidy?

Yes. GENIUS KIDS UPPER ALLEN holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 9.

Does this page show inspection results for GENIUS KIDS UPPER ALLEN?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects GENIUS KIDS UPPER ALLEN's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
