  • My 3 kids have been going here since 2018. My daughter since she was 6 weeks old. I have never had to feel worried about them not being well taken care of. I love the staff, the environment, the love and care they provide to all the kids. Rather than a 5 star I’d give it a 10 if possible!!!

  • Every time I pick up my little sister she's always so happy and tells me about how great her day was thanks to the wonderful staff at Gold Star Child Care. The events are always a lot of fun too. It's a great, healthy, and clean environment full of people who love their jobs and are great with children. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

  • Gold Star child care is phenomenal. They made me feel so at ease with my nephew in their care. Also the play space is huge so my nephew just loves it. Thank you so much. My nephew is flourishing in preschool and we owe that to the great people at Gold Star child care.

Questions parents ask about GOLD STAR CHILD CARE

Is GOLD STAR CHILD CARE a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. GOLD STAR CHILD CARE holds Pennsylvania certificate 103537686-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Luzerne County. The current certificate runs to February 22, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is GOLD STAR CHILD CARE's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates GOLD STAR CHILD CARE STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on April 11, 2019. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against GOLD STAR CHILD CARE?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against GOLD STAR CHILD CARE at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does GOLD STAR CHILD CARE accept child care subsidy?

Yes. GOLD STAR CHILD CARE holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 11.

Does this page show inspection results for GOLD STAR CHILD CARE?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects GOLD STAR CHILD CARE's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
