  • If I could rate higher than I would! Our daughter has been at Happy House for over a year and she is thriving! She was at another facility prior to Covid. She was just a number there and was constantly sick. The school year curriculum at Happy House keeps her engaged and eager to learn. She can't wait to talk about all the things that she learned each day. Lisa and Amanda are attentive, professional and genuinely invested in her education and well being. Their summer program is fantastic and our daughter has so much fun (while still learning) each day. They have many other fun events. They have created so many fun activities (visits from a pony and police officers, stretch and grow, summer water play to name a few). I can't say enough good things! Her last day will be truly difficult for all of us!

  • We could not be happier with our experience at HH! Lisa and Amanda have gone above and beyond to help our children feel loved, safe, and happy with their childcare experience. It was very important to us to have our 3 boys in a place that exposed them to learning through various techniques, with a higher emphasis on learning through play. Our boys love that a fitness coach and music teacher come to their school on a regular basis. They also go outside to burn off their energy at every opportunity, which we love as much as they do! Our older boys in particular are excelling in academics, largely because of the work Lisa and Amanda have done with them (recognizing letters and numbers, writing their names and other letters, etc.) We also appreciate the attentiveness and compliance with state guidelines that Lisa and Amanda thoroughly follow. They use an app to update you on your kids throughout the day as well as posting pictures of their activities. In addition, the teachers meet with parents on a regular basis, providing us with concrete feedback on where our kids are doing well, and where there can be improvements. This has proven to be really valuable, as our middle son had some hearing issues that they helped us become aware of so we were able to get him the medical attention necessary to address it. The kids are also fed a healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack, and it is wonderful to not have to pack a daily lunch for all 3 of them. I feel compelled to address another review here that indicated that they felt that they were treated in a negative manner because of their race. During our time at HH, we have only seen Lisa and Amanda treat all of the children there, including several children of various races, with love and respect. If we ever felt that Lisa and Amanda treated any child differently for any reason, let alone race, we would have pulled our children immediately because that is not the example we want to have set for them. We would highly recommend HH to anyone looking for a loving and nurturing in-home child care environment.

  • If we could give more stars we would! We have been at Happy House for 3 years and cannot say enough good things. Our 2 kids have grown so much and we know they are truly cared for. Both are excelling academically and the lessons are always so engaging and creative. Lisa and Amanda have always been partners with us as we navigate our sons IEP and we know that they play such a huge part in his successes. We have been so lucky to have our kids here and will always value our time here.

  • My wife and I have complete trust and faith in Lisa and Amanda in raising our children during our working hours. The quick summary is that they are excellent teachers, they love and care for our children as we would, and they are great communicators with us as parents, giving wonderful feedback and progress reports routinely. The fact is that our children will spend more awake time with Lisa and Amanda then we will over the next several years, but we are at total peace with this knowing the personalized care they are receiving. This is not a high turnover facility with teachers and kids coming and going. These kids and teachers form almost a small family and it shows in how the kids interact together and how much fun they have. Additionally, Lisa and Amanda did an excellent job getting both our children into routines, something that we all have significantly benefited from. My wife and I actually toured about 10 different local daycares in the area before placing our daughter here 2 years ago. In addition, our now 1 year old son was at 2 different daycares before he turned 9 months and Lisa and Amanda had another opening for him to join Happy House after being on the wait list. Not having the ability to place Him with Lisa and Amanda from 3 - 9 months was extremely difficult on our peace of mind because of how much we trust Happy House (this is no fault of Lisa or Amanda as the child/teacher ratios are state mandated). In his first 6 months elsewhere, we actually had to remove him from one daycare after his first month, and set him up temporarily in another while we waited (I will not disparage these other places, but suffice it to say they did not provide the same standards we had grown accustomed to with our daughter at Happy House). This was a tough 6 months on our psyche. We battled through a lack of any routine with feeding and sleep schedules being established by these other daycare providers, rotating care providers and children within their organizations, and some other unsavory issues. The euphoric relief that accompanied finally moving our son to Happy House Learning Center last September and gaining real peace of mind is indescribable. We couldn’t be happier with Happy House Learning Care. We feel so blessed to have found them 2 years ago.

  • We are very happy with the childcare our kids receive at Happy House. Before my son was born, we were trying to decide between an in-home daycare where I knew my child would have personal attention and a more formal center where things would be state mandated. We were lucky to have stumbled upon both at Happy House. Lisa and Amanda have cared for my son since he was 3 months old and I have always felt great about the care he was receiving. With him being so young, it was important to me that he was with people that I felt really cared about him. There have been many times when pick up has been tough because he is having so much fun and doesn’t want to leave. Now that he is older and participating in the preschool curriculum, I am continually amazed at how much and how quickly he learns. He knows all his numbers and letters and amazes me every day with some new fact he picked up at “school.” When my daughter was born, we immediately put ourselves on the wait list and she joined her brother when she was 7 months old. They both are thriving under the structure and environment at Happy House. The fact that a small in-home daycare has a music class, a gym type class, and other great activities for my kids is awesome, as is not having to pack breakfast and lunch every day. Whenever my friends have a kid, I am quick to recommend Happy House. I don’t think you could get better care than Lisa and Amanda.

  • When my husband and I were looking for a daycare for our 5 month old son, we had two strong requirements, a home environment for more personalized care and a center run by the state to ensure a state mandated curriculum would be delivered. We found both in Happy House Learning Care and couldn't be more thrilled with our selection. Amanda and Lisa have taken care of our son for the past two years with great care and respect. My son loves going to "Miss Lisa's" house in the mornings and there are some days he's having so much fun he doesn't want to leave. When we arrive in the morning's he typically will give both Miss Amanda and Miss Lisa hugs, which warms my heart. As a parent, I think this is as good of a reaction to daycare that you can hope for. Lisa and Amanda do a great job communicating both through an app where we receive updates on his day and through text message. They detail in the beginning of the year their holiday schedule, allowing me ample time to find other coverage. For vacations, they provide at least a month in advance notice. They do reserve a few personal days that they can take last minute, but this is noted up front and I think its fair given no one can predict when they will be sick. They do have backup sitters available in case one of them gets sick that they can call on to keep the daycare open in compliance with state mandated child to adult ratios. In general, I'm happy with the communication and the time they take in considering their parents work schedules and how much we depend on them. Included in the tuition cost are breakfast, lunch and a snack, which takes a lot of pressure off us to have to pack him meals everyday. Lisa and Amanda are transparent with the nutritious foods they serve by posting the daily menu on their website. They also include gym and music class, both of which my son loves. They bring in a third party instructor for both class types to expose the children to these activities. My favorite part is they post pictures of my son interacting in these classes on their app so I can see how much fun he is having. Over the past two years, we've seen our son really grow and attribute a lot of his learning progress with counting, colors and shapes to Lisa and Amanda. He just recently started the curriculum and is bringing home the most adorable art projects and is always so proud of himself. We're expecting another child in July and have already requested to be put on the list for her to start when she is 5 months old. We couldn't imagine any other team taking care of our babies while we can't. We would both recommend Happy House Learning Care over and over again. We've never had any issues and they really make us feel like family, we're grateful to have found them!

Questions parents ask about HAPPY HOUSE LEARNING CARE

Is HAPPY HOUSE LEARNING CARE a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. HAPPY HOUSE LEARNING CARE holds Pennsylvania certificate 102276594-0002, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Montgomery County. The current certificate runs to September 4, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is HAPPY HOUSE LEARNING CARE's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates HAPPY HOUSE LEARNING CARE STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on February 20, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against HAPPY HOUSE LEARNING CARE?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against HAPPY HOUSE LEARNING CARE at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does HAPPY HOUSE LEARNING CARE accept child care subsidy?

Yes. HAPPY HOUSE LEARNING CARE holds a subsidy agreement with the state. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 17.

Does this page show inspection results for HAPPY HOUSE LEARNING CARE?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects HAPPY HOUSE LEARNING CARE's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
