Does so much for the community and has a really wonderful fitness center with two indoor pools.
staci backauskasJun 21, 2026Great facility with gyms and swimming pools. Instruction offered for the children.
SamMar 2, 2026Facility is nice and clean and the staffs are really friendly. I came here mainly to use the pool and am satisfy with it. Plenty of cardio machines although I do wish they had more machines for upper body training. It seems they have more machines for lower body. The only real complain is finding parking can be difficult.
David LuoJan 27, 2026Great community center! Friendly, helpful and polite staff. Getting to interact with many amazing people here as well! The gym and swimming pool are very well maintained. The Jewish Community Center is also quite accessible for senior citizens and people with special needs.
Vinayak KPJul 30, 2025I’m rating a specific experience: using the fitness facility on a visitor day pass. It was disappointing. Overcrowded, understaffed and, particularly the lower floor exercise rooms, out of date. Of the three, overcrowding was the worst - a bunch of the machines were not available. I paid for the “platinum” level, which includes access to the sauna and towels. The sauna was packed and I couldn’t use that either. There were only hand towels available. Not a good value for the money. The location is central to where I am when in tahn and the staff who were there seemed very friendly. Wish I could write a positive review.
Scott SchafferMay 4, 2025A nice place to hold events like todays for the dragon dance for Lunar New Year on 2-16-25. Parking is free but very hard to find when there’s a big event bc it’s just one lot on the ground street floor so it’s best you find street parking a walk a bit which is not terrible and good exercise. It’s nestled in a residential neighborhood. I love it that this center promotes culture and diversity and learning about each other … and so many non Chinese Americans also attended this event. The Levinson room was packed w people outside the room. Thank you. I don’t have any other experience w this center other than this event so I can’t speak for everything else.

Questions parents ask about JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER PITTSBURGH
Is JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER PITTSBURGH a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?
- Yes. JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER PITTSBURGH holds Pennsylvania certificate 100184546-0006, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Allegheny County. The current certificate runs to April 24, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER PITTSBURGH's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania rates JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER PITTSBURGH STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on May 28, 2019. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER PITTSBURGH?
- No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER PITTSBURGH at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
Does JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER PITTSBURGH accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER PITTSBURGH holds a subsidy agreement with the state. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 5.
Does this page show inspection results for JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER PITTSBURGH?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER OF GREATER PITTSBURGH's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
