  • Horrible daycare my nephews son went here and they were nothing but problems! I recommend that you stay away from this daycare there was many of times that I was picking my nephews son up and the owner would always be verbally abusive to her staff not what should be happening around little children ! They try to blame there short falls on the children but the real short fall is the owner she seriously needs to find a better profession because she sucks at this one !

  • My son attended Katrina's as an infant up until 3 years of age. The staff is amazing and the place is clean and structured. They are constantly updating their toys/activities and have the kids doing educational/developmental activities daily. They give daily updates for the children so you know what they have been up to each day. Throughout our time with Katrina's my son was participating in early intervention for developmental delays and behavior they were understanding of his needs and were always willing to accommodate them as they changed. My son loved all of these ladies and looked forward to seeing everyone of them. Katrina and her staff are fabulous if we hadn't moved so far away my son would still be attended this daycare.

  • Katrina and company have been such a blessing to our family. The ladies are always caring, responsive, and every day my kids come home saying how much they love school. My son went to kindergarten this year and said he misses it at Katrina’s. As a parent and an educator I would recommend them to anyone.

  • Very unprofessional I walked in my son was forced to sit in a chair while she talked on her cell phone. When He tried to run over to me she forced him to stay seated till she got done talking on her cell phone. If your toddler acts like a toddler she will tell you she they need help and harass you about calling scraton counciling. She'll lie on paper work saying parents don't comply to her suggestions that your child needs help. She should not run a day care period

  • I love this daycare . My kids were always well taken care of and I can tell they were learning so much. The teachers were so sweet and kind to my children . If I ever need daycare again, i would definitely send my kids back here. Katrina was always respectful and willing to work with me, she made me feel very comfortable leaving my kids here.

  • Would love to give this daycare zero stars. My daughter attended this day care for about a year during which time Katrina would yell, assault, degrade and restrain her to get her to conform to katrinas ideal standards of what a 2-3 year old should be. My daughter has a behavioral disorder which was disclosed to Katrina upon enrollment. One day I went to pick my daughter up and watched Katrina physically throw my daughter in a chair and into the table resulting in bruising, red marks and a trip to the doctors office for her injuries. Also filed a police report and reported this incident to children and youth. Children and youth stated that because there was no fatal or serious injuries there was nothing they could do. Katrina also told me that she restrained my two year old for being noncompliant even though two weeks prior I had a meeting with her to discuss that restraining a two year old is inappropriate and ineffective. When asked for the video of the incident Katrina declined to show anyone tapes and told police that “the cameras are broken.” Katrina presents herself to be a know it all when it comes to mental and behavioral health; if your child is not PERFECT she will tell you to get a TSS. For the love of whatever god you believe in (or not) do not send your children here. If you witness anything similar please report to Moscow police department and also to CYS To get this psychotic woman closed.

Questions parents ask about KATRINAS CREATIVE LEARNING CENTER

Is KATRINAS CREATIVE LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. KATRINAS CREATIVE LEARNING CENTER holds Pennsylvania certificate 102632680-0002, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Lackawanna County. The current certificate runs to October 12, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is KATRINAS CREATIVE LEARNING CENTER's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates KATRINAS CREATIVE LEARNING CENTER STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on October 16, 2019. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against KATRINAS CREATIVE LEARNING CENTER?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against KATRINAS CREATIVE LEARNING CENTER at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does KATRINAS CREATIVE LEARNING CENTER accept child care subsidy?

Yes. KATRINAS CREATIVE LEARNING CENTER holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 12.

Does this page show inspection results for KATRINAS CREATIVE LEARNING CENTER?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects KATRINAS CREATIVE LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
