Dennis SmulickMar 29, 2023I went to visit this daycare before enrolling my disabled son, spoke to the owner to assure she would be able to change my 5 year olds pull ups before enrolling him and was told yes. Months later I was asked to prove my son had a disability, odd as the request was I provided the owner all documentation showing his diagnoses. Around that time I noticed my son kept coming home in dirty pull ups over and over so I kept asking the staff why he was coming home dirty and if my child needs more pull ups and was rudely given the run around by staff until I called the owner directly. She told me she has NEVER changed my son (Violation Code: 53.3270.135e) because he was a school aged child and she didn't change school aged children. I pointed out we talked about this before I even enrolled my son, I told her I would never have put him here if I knew she was going to say one thing and do another. I pointed out his disability again, that he has an IEP at school to help him with toilet accidents and asked how she could let a disabled child just sit in his own filth that way. Her response was first to say she had no where to change him, I pointed out the baby room was right up the steps, she then said if I wanted my son changed she would hire someone specific for that job and charge me extra. WOW, who behaves like that? ! Obviously I removed my child right away after she blatantly admitted to neglect. This place should be shut down, the owner does not know how to care for children properly let alone run a childcare center. SHAME ON YOU!!!
