  • They really treat your child good They learn there letters. They learn there colors. They learn how to play w/others. They try to potty training. The teachers read to them. The teachers do so much for them so when they get to kindergarten they have everything they need to learn more. Jennifer Evans is a fantastic teacher who helps the children understand what they are learning. All the best teachers work at Kinder Academy #1 Thank you for all your hard work!!

  • Not the place you want to send your child. Was a good center when Mrs. Colleen was there. Someone who had children, loved, & cared for those children like her own. However now there is a bunch of young girls who doesn’t do anything but sit around, not paying attention to your kids. My son came home and repeated what his teacher assistant said to another child which was “ I smell your breath”. Then the same teacher let my child go outside in the middle of the winter with no coat on and what I was asked when I expressed my concerns by the director of the center was if I sent my child to school with one. Then my child fell and hit/bruised his chin really bad and no one reviewed the cameras with me or wrote me an incident report when I expressed my concerns. I was hung up on and told I was lying. They also kept asking things like “did you see you son when he left the home” “ who dropped him off” insinuating that I sent my son to school like that but no one even knew he had the bruise!!! (He lay down for naps and everything so how was I the first to notice it after pick up, END of the day. They banned my son and didn’t notify me until a month before school starts, during the 10th outreach to them, after leaving multiple messages for the owner and the director of the center. The way they ganged up on me really doesn’t sit well with me and does make me think they are covering up possible abuse.

  • I loved the teachers here. Really kind and cared about my son’s wellbeing. The administrative made it difficult to have an easy time here however. I did feel it was safe and clean place overall. By the time my son graduated he learned how to spell his first and last name (thank you Ms Jenn). Classroom time here is geared to help them be ready for kindergarten.

  • I have been in this field for twenty years and with Kinder Academy for two, I can honestly say that they are amazing. As a teacher, I am thought of every step of the way, I find this company to be of good quality, very professional, and very responsive to my needs as well as the needs of the families. The atmosphere is wonderful with everyone always giving 110% when it comes to teaching and caring for each and every family regardless of ethnicity or religion.

Questions parents ask about KINDER ACADEMY

Is KINDER ACADEMY a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. KINDER ACADEMY holds Pennsylvania certificate 100132648-0011, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Philadelphia County. The current certificate runs to August 26, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is KINDER ACADEMY's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates KINDER ACADEMY STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on December 7, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against KINDER ACADEMY?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against KINDER ACADEMY at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does KINDER ACADEMY accept child care subsidy?

Yes. KINDER ACADEMY holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 18.

Does this page show inspection results for KINDER ACADEMY?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects KINDER ACADEMY's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
