Teachers and admin staff are wonderful! I've sent both my kids there for preschool and they've not only gained a ton of knowledge but were also able to work on their social skills. I feel that they've both had an excellent start with their educational careers.
Laura SmithJun 3, 2026This review is for Miss Cat in Orange Giraffes! As a previous teacher who worked alongside her I want to say she’s absolutely amazing! Such a personable teacher and always looking out for her students and parents. She understands that parents and teachers are nurturing and teaching the child together. She works very hard to keep a happy balance with teaching and school and she is also a dance instructor! She deserves Teacher of the Year for sure! Good luck Catherine!
mardesse matosDec 8, 2025Lightbridge has been our second home for both of our children. When it comes to top line child care, you won’t find it anywhere else like you will at Lightbridge. The teachers are kind, loving, educated and experienced. They provide you with thorough details, updates and pictures throughout the day of your child which always puts my mind at ease. The management team is also outstanding and they go above and beyond to help provide the best possible experience for your little one and parents as well. We wouldn’t trust taking our kiddos anywhere else!
Jessica MoranOct 10, 2025I love that there is a new theme each week that the kids work on and that they attempt to engage the parents in the activities they do by telling them what is needed for the activity. I also love how much open communication there is between the parents and the teachers through messages, newsletter of the week, in person, etc. The ability to have camera access to check in on the kids throughout the day if need be is so comforting as well. I love that I have never once seen any of my daughter’s teachers on their phones whenever I do check the cameras. They are always so engaged with them and you can tell how much they truly care about the kids. I also love how clean and welcoming the facility is with all their decorations and display of the kids art work. I cannot say enough about how awesome this daycare is. I always recommend it to local moms who are looking for daycare recommendations.
Irene CzelejMar 25, 2025We could not have been happier with our experience at Lightbridge! Our son transitioned care to them at 14 months old after being in an in home daycare and then moving across several states. Not only was his transition to Lightbridge wonderful but his transition between classes as he grew was also very smooth. He achieved many important milestones while under their care and his first steps were even caught on video and sent to us! The daily reports are so helpful, not just knowing about napping, diapers, etc. but allowed us to ask our son specific questions about his day as well as continue to reinforce the learning at home. Their response to COVID was great and we felt safe with their decision making and handling of the rare positive case within the school. They day they were able to reopen I was confident in sending him back and felt so relieved to know he was getting the attention and education he needed in a safe place. The best part about Lightbridge is every teacher and staff member made us feel like our son was their favorite student, and I think each family felt their child was the favorite as well. Again, a move has taken us away and we sure miss them!

- Yes. LIGHTBRIDGE ACADEMY holds Pennsylvania certificate 103050232-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Northampton County. The current certificate runs to September 12, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is LIGHTBRIDGE ACADEMY's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania rates LIGHTBRIDGE ACADEMY STAR 4 - ACC, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on November 7, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against LIGHTBRIDGE ACADEMY?
- No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against LIGHTBRIDGE ACADEMY at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
Does LIGHTBRIDGE ACADEMY accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. LIGHTBRIDGE ACADEMY holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 14.
Does this page show inspection results for LIGHTBRIDGE ACADEMY?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects LIGHTBRIDGE ACADEMY's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
