  • I would like to share my experience thus far with Little Duckies Daycare. My son has been attending the daycare since 6mo old and is currently 2.5, he as I do, absolutely love the staff and what they being to the table. Staff: dedication, compassion, patience and love that help with all levels of growth from infant room to toddler. Effective communication to problem-solving skills and safety awareness. Creativity to patience and empathy. Classroom management to physical stamina, the staff knows how to balance it all. When the kids enjoy being dropped off and looking forward to another fun packed educated day, then you know the staff is great. The owner and staff are truly amazing! Cleanliness: owner and staff keep up with cleaning (includes sanitizing/non harsh chemical's) each suite and toys, along with implementing hand washing for the children. I believe there is also a cleaning service that comes periodically. Education: from infant room to Pre-K, the children are always being stimulated. If you are not familiar with Early Childhood Education (ECE), please educate yourself. This is what is offered and what your child will receive at Little Duckies Daycare. Parents also need to do their due diligence and continue what is implemented at daycare to home and vice versa. It never stops. My son is advanced because of my and my husband’s hard work as well as the daycare. Communication is key, especially with ECE. Cost: the tuition for the daycare in my opinion is beyond fare considering the care my son receives. I was one of those parents who was very nervous sending my child to a place not truly knowing anyone but when I say within a week after he first started, I did not need to worry and I was put at ease. We (my family) absolutely love Little Duckies Daycare and would highly recommend you send your child there!

  • We couldn’t be happier with this daycare. From day one, the staff has been warm, attentive, and genuinely caring toward the children. It’s clear they truly love what they do. Communication with parents is excellent! We’re always kept in the loop and feel completely confident leaving our child in their care. The facility is clean, safe, and thoughtfully set up for learning and play. Our child has grown so much socially and emotionally since starting here, and comes home happy every day. As parents, that peace of mind is priceless. If you’re looking for a daycare in Philly where your child will be cared for, respected, and encouraged to thrive, this is absolutely the place. Highly recommend.

  • I am very happy with Little Duckies Daycare. A very friendly, kind and caring approach is provided by the staff to take care of my daughter. Daily activities help develop my daughter's learning. My daughter is always happy to be there. I would like to appreciate Lisa and all the staff for everything they do for the children.

  • Best daycare in the area! Lisa and all her teachers provide excellent care for my son. He been going to Duckies since he was 3 months, now he is 22 months. The place is so clean, different activities for the kids every day, including going to the park & water play and so much more! 5 stars is not enough for Duckies, highly recommended for anyone looking for child care.

  • Just wanted to share how much we all adored Little Duckies. My son started there at 10 months in 2021 - I was terrified dropping him off anywhere after pandemic parenting 24/7, but everybody made me feel right at home and I loved all the updates I'd get throughout the day. The center did go through a wave of staff turnover that was challenging, but it forced better communication with the parents and things settled down relatively quickly. The teachers (both before and after turnover) are truly some angels on earth. My son still asks for his teachers after our move and we are forever thankful for how much they loved him and taught him. I don't think there's anywhere better in South Philly - a beautiful location, wonderful teachers, and an all around comfortable and relaxed vibe. We miss you, Little Duckies!

Questions parents ask about Little Duckies Day Care

Is Little Duckies Day Care a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. Little Duckies Day Care holds Pennsylvania certificate 101475000-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Philadelphia County. The current certificate runs to December 14, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is Little Duckies Day Care's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates Little Duckies Day Care STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on December 18, 2023. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against Little Duckies Day Care?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against Little Duckies Day Care at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does Little Duckies Day Care accept child care subsidy?

Yes. Little Duckies Day Care holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 18.

Does this page show inspection results for Little Duckies Day Care?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects Little Duckies Day Care's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
