Having to switch my son from a daycare that is very well rated academically, that he’d been at since before he could walk was a very hard but necessary transition. He wasn’t doing well behavior wise which is very hard for any parent to deal with. When I contacted Small Wonders Academy, Mr. Tara was extremely welcoming and reassuring that they would work with my son and help guide us in the right direction for his behavior issues. Within the very first week I noticed a complete change in his behavior. He was happier and would talk about his teachers even at home! They treat him with love and took the time to get to know him which we absolutely appreciate. Thank you so much everyone at Small Wonders Academy Granite Run 💕
Family BreitDec 10, 2025Don't put your child at this daycare. They illegally accept more kids than the capacity of the classrooms. I found out that they were keeping 3 children from my son's classroom in the director office because the classroom is full. Families be aware as we don't bring our children to the daycare to stay at the administration office. I pulled my son out since I didn't feel secure to leave him there.
Martha SamySep 24, 2024Our experience with SWA has been nothing short of amazing. As a hospital worker and chemist during the pandemic my wife and I had hectic schedules so hay changed at the drop of a hat. SWA accommodated our needs on short notice to ensure our little one would be taken care of. Clearly she receives amazing care and love there as she bolts to the door every day when we drop her off. She comes to daycare with a smile on her face and leaves with the same smile. She’s even seen one of the teachers outside of daycare and ran up to her out of excitement. The teacher without hesitation picked our daughter up and played with her. The love and care you get at SWA just can’t be found anywhere else. And we couldn’t be happier with all the teachers and staff there. THANK YOU ALL!
Kevin LynchSep 27, 2021We love Small Wonders Academy! Our kids are treated with kindness and respect and they look forward to "school" every day. My kids are greeted every day with a warm, welcoming hug and hello. It really gives me peace of mind when I drive away to work because I know my kids are loved and cared for every day.
Lisa WoodFeb 25, 2020My niece has been going to Small Wonders for the last two years and she loves it. The teachers truly care about her and all of the kids. I love hearing her talk about what's she's learned and I'm thankful that she has so many wonderful childhood memories from there.
Donna BaerFeb 28, 2019Sending our child to Small Wonders Academy is the best decision that my wife and I have made as parents. Every staff member that we have dealt with directly, including the Director, teachers, and culinary staff (shout out to Miss Brenda!) have displayed nothing but professionalism and a sincere interest and desire in providing quality care for our child. There has not been a single day that we have ever felt any reservations in leaving our child in their care. We know that while at Small Wonders, she will be the in loving, capable hands of people truly invested in providing her with the educational and emotional foundation that we sought for our daughter in order to grow. Please take with an extremely large grain of salt whatever you may have read on here that speaks negatively about the facility, especially from trolls (who need to get off the internet and go find a new bridge to live under), who post negatively about a place they don’t even do business with. As Abraham Lincoln famously said and they should take heed of, “you’re not required to believe EVERYTHING you read on the internet.” I have absolutely no qualms with recommending Small Wonders Academy to any parent looking for quality childcare in the Lancaster area. We trust them wholeheartedly with our daughter, to not only keep her safe but also to teach her that the internet wasn’t around when Abraham Lincoln was alive; and you should trust them with your little one, too. Sincerely, A Small Wonders parent

Questions parents ask about LITTLE LIGHTS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
Is LITTLE LIGHTS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?
- Yes. LITTLE LIGHTS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY holds Pennsylvania certificate 102835431-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Lancaster County. The current certificate runs to June 15, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is LITTLE LIGHTS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania rates LITTLE LIGHTS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY STAR 2, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on April 23, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against LITTLE LIGHTS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY?
- No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against LITTLE LIGHTS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
Does LITTLE LIGHTS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. LITTLE LIGHTS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 10.
Does this page show inspection results for LITTLE LIGHTS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects LITTLE LIGHTS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
