  • The best daycare

  • ABSOLUTE WORST DAY CARE in Scranton Pa. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this daycare and feel obligated to share my concerns with other parents. From the beginning, there were ongoing issues with professionalism, communication, and the overall quality of care. The director, Donna, repeatedly suggested that my two-year-old needed to be evaluated simply because he “wouldn’t listen.” However, what I consistently observed during unannounced visits was a lack of engagement from staff. Teachers were frequently on their phones or sitting children in front of tablets rather than actively interacting with or teaching them. This raises serious concerns about how behavior is being managed and whether children are receiving the attention and developmental support they deserve. When I requested to see my child’s care plan, I was told one could not be provided due to being short-staffed and unable to complete planned activities. This is unacceptable. A structured plan and consistent engagement are basic expectations when entrusting a facility with your child’s care. Another major issue was the constant and unpredictable schedule changes. I would receive a schedule one week, only for it to be changed the next. I was told this was due to staff not returning signed schedules, which then became my burden. At one point, my child’s start time was changed from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM despite me clearly communicating my work obligations. The lack of accountability and consideration for working parents was incredibly frustrating. Things escalated further when I informed the director that I was waiting for an opening at another daycare. Shortly after, my child was discharged with minimal notice, being told his last day would be the following Wednesday. This felt retaliatory and unprofessional. Additionally, I made multiple requests—over 10 times—to speak with the owner regarding these concerns. Each time, I was told he was aware of the situation but chose not to speak with families. This level of disregard is deeply concerning, especially when serious issues are being raised. There were also personal boundary concerns. My child came home with his hair styled in a way I had explicitly asked staff not to do. Furthermore, I became aware that staff were speaking Spanish to my child, whose primary language is English. After respectfully asking that this be limited while he is still developing his language skills, I noticed a shift—suddenly, everything my child did became an issue. It began to feel as though he was being unfairly singled out. Overall, this daycare demonstrated a consistent lack of structure, communication, accountability, and respect for both children and parents. I would strongly caution other families to carefully consider their options before enrolling here. I still would love to have a conversation with the owner if he can find the time or attention to this matter.

  • The most horrible experience my daughter, who was only 2 years old, had is this daycare. We had to remove her due to the sociological abuse she suffered with the pressure exerted by the center so that, at only 2 years old, she could hold her pee and go to the bathroom alone. The teacher handled more children than allowed, apart from the fact that she is an overweight and elderly caregiver with a physical condition that prevents her from providing optimal service, even bending down was difficult for her. The last day I went to look for my daughter and I saw in the classroom an older man taking the little boys and girls to the bathroom and assisting the teacher who was sitting writing. How a center puts little girls in the hands of a child who is not part of the classroom and without the parents knowing this. We decided to take the girl out that day, and the truth is that we were able to demand this disgusting care center. Take care of your children and see how they are cared for, avoid future traumas.

  • They encourage bullying , I called the director & she got defensive . They only care about money not our children the bully still in there now & I was told to transfer my child the teacher even told me in confidentiality that they don’t care about the students only money & the little girl bullies everyone & im the only parent that spoke up. I take this seriously because if this was high school or middle school it leads to suicide ! Im taking this manner to the fullest !!! I’ll spread the word remove your children they deserve better .

  • Unlicence staff, and they dont feed your children. They have 15 children in a room with two staffs. They dont have any hands on training with children. Thus place is unsafe and unsecured. The staff do not daily activuties with children nor do they do any arts and craft. They turn the tv on to for 8 hrs because the staff is not prepared to handle children completely un organized

Yes. LITTLE PEOPLE DAY CARE SCHOOL holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
