  • It’s disappointing to see negative reviews from parents who may not have prepared their child with the skills and tools needed to navigate the world, even at age 3. My son has been at Little Scholars since Pre-K 3 and is now in Pre-K 4. Like many children, he struggled in the beginning with independence (and still has his days), but what I’ve found here is nothing but love, patience, and genuine care. This small, close-knit community has given him the support he needs to grow, and I’ve watched him thrive emotionally and academically over the past two years. I am so grateful for his teachers Ms. Becky, Ms. Alicia, and now Ms. Nakita, who have poured into him with kindness, respect, and encouragement. I fully trust Little Scholars to treat my son with dignity, guiding him as the little individual he is. Truly a wonderful place for children to learn and grow!

  • Whew lord. Told me I needed to send my son’s aid to summer camp. My son has an IEP and during school he has an aid in his class. Now you mean to tell me I should pay a weekly fee and on top of that pay an aid to go to the summer camp as well? Never in my life….I spoke with the school and no one has heard of that. The school would only supply his aid if he was at the school…Not a summer camp program. So that means if an aid was to be there, I would have to provide/pay for it. Make it make sense on why I would pay a summer camp darn near $300 a week PLUS pay an additional person to be in the classroom with my son. Thank goodness I was able to find a summer camp for my son and he LOVED them!! No additional aid provided.

  • My daughter attended Little Scholars for pre-k 3 and 4 and she loved it! I like that they follow the creative curriculum and actually teach the students. They follow a routine schedule with the students that involves dramatic play, centers. My daughter learned so much. They even do parent teacher conferences. I am a teacher myself, so I know what a quality pre-k looks like and this is one! The teachers are also very friendly and you can tell they actually care about the kids. The students also wear uniform which for me is a plus!!

  • I love Little scholars Academy. The staff is very friendly, this school exceeds in academics and communication with parents. We will certainly be returning for another year of pre-k. Thank you to the teachers and staff who helped shape my daughters educational future this year , we already miss it and can’t wait to return in the fall.

  • My child currently attends Little Scholars Academy and loves it! The teachers have well thought out lesson plans, and can work with students 1:1 if they need a little extra help. My child has learned so much from attending LSA. I was very skeptical about sending my child to school at 3, but LSA made me very comfortable with that decision. This school is not only great on a academic level, but its very safe. This gives me a peace of mind each time I drop him off and pick him up. They also offer a summer camp program! I can’t wait for enrollment to come around because we’ll definitely be back! I’d give 10 stars if I could!

  • My son attends LSA and this is really an amazing pre school. He wakes up happy to go to school every day. He loves his teachers Ms. Mini and Ms. Shantelle. The school does a really great job at communicating. They use the tadpoles app and my child received daily reports every single day (with pictures of him included). The reports include what he ate, how long he napped, what he worked on for the day and if he needs extra clothes as well. I can tell that his teachers really care about him and take really good care of him. They take the time to get to know him and to learn what kind of person he is and they use that information to help him learn and grow. During pick ups, drop offs and report card conferences, his teachers are able to tell me about him outside of his academics. They pay attention. I’m glad I chose to send my baby to LSA. He’s in great hands ❤️

Questions parents ask about LITTLE SCHOLARS ACADEMY

Is LITTLE SCHOLARS ACADEMY a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. LITTLE SCHOLARS ACADEMY holds Pennsylvania certificate 102750423-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Philadelphia County. The current certificate runs to December 6, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is LITTLE SCHOLARS ACADEMY's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates LITTLE SCHOLARS ACADEMY STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on November 30, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against LITTLE SCHOLARS ACADEMY?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against LITTLE SCHOLARS ACADEMY at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does LITTLE SCHOLARS ACADEMY accept child care subsidy?

Yes. LITTLE SCHOLARS ACADEMY holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 18.

Does this page show inspection results for LITTLE SCHOLARS ACADEMY?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects LITTLE SCHOLARS ACADEMY's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
