  • Navigating life with two young children can be difficult. We found Main Street Scholars through a close personal friend as a reference one would say. We are absolutely thrilled with this daycare. Since the day our friend told us about this place, we were itching at the chance to hopefully enroll our children there as it was very close to home, the price point was right for us, not to mention all the wonderful things we heard about the place. We felt very comfortable since the day we did a tour of the facility with the owner, and we were thrilled to find out they had availability for enrollment. Since officially enrolling our kids, the experience has been phenomenal from the top down. The care has been absolutely wonderful. Communication has been absolutely fantastic. They use an app called brightwheel and I would’ve never imagined the kind of updates that we get for my children while I am at work, or just going about my day. I’m informed of meals, activities, diaper changes, I even get pictures of my kids playing with others, I get nap updates, etc. So even when I am missing them while they are away, I have a first glance view of how their day is going and what they are up to! I never knew anything like this service existed and it solidifies my decision to choose this daycare over others 110%. If you’re looking for a reliable daycare close to home with affordability, and caring staff. This is it.

  • I have two children that go down to the center. The center is amazing they are very caring. Anytime I ask questions they get me answers. They care about my children as the kids are their own. My children love going down there. My daughter always has fun story’s and loves showing her crafts she made.

  • They provide a great environment for my kids. Do a great job and the teachers are great. My only issue is that the owner is an unreasonable person who doesn’t care about the needs of the client. I requested my drop off time be 7 am when my work schedule changed due to the pandemic and I have received nothing but resistance and grief over it amongst other things. The daycare is providing a service based on the clients needs and she constantly refuses to care about those needs and argues with me about my requests and refuses to accommodate. My requests are not unreasonable and are within the operating hours of her facility. But I feel like she’s an it’s my way or no way at all type of person. I express my needs and they are met with threats of termination and no resolution. I thought a daycare is there to make it possible for the kids to have care when I need to work. Instead I’m catering to what she wants and am following a schedule she wants. Overall a great daycare. But owner should reavaluare her way of treating clients and staff.

  • My daughter has gone to this daycare for about 6 months, and we absolutely love it! The staff is all very attentive and caring, and my daughter is well cared for. The owner takes extreme pride in the facility, and it really shows. Awesome staff and awesome facility! Highly recommend!

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against MAIN STREET SCHOLARS LEARNING CENTER LTD?

Does MAIN STREET SCHOLARS LEARNING CENTER LTD accept child care subsidy?

Yes. MAIN STREET SCHOLARS LEARNING CENTER LTD holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 14.

Does this page show inspection results for MAIN STREET SCHOLARS LEARNING CENTER LTD?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects MAIN STREET SCHOLARS LEARNING CENTER LTD's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
