The family center part is fantastic, 5 stars for them. However, wouldn't recommend sending your kids to their headstart program. The teachers are judgemental and extremely rude and will treat you and your children like a number. Don't bother trying to talk to them 1 on 1 as a concerned parent/guardian/caregiver, they'll write you off and give you an attitude. Can only imagine how they're treating the children behind our backs 🤷🏽♀️ Not only that, they randomly cancel class with no explanation, so gpod luck relying on them if you have a job or trying to get one. They really need to revamp the whole program, honestly, because they are overall doing more of a disservice to families than accomodating.

Questions parents ask about Mckeesport Family Center
Is Mckeesport Family Center a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?
- Yes. Mckeesport Family Center holds Pennsylvania certificate 100746305-0060, listed as "LISTED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Allegheny County. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is Mckeesport Family Center's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania publishes no Keystone STARS tier for Mckeesport Family Center. Keystone STARS is voluntary, so a provider with no tier has not taken part rather than been judged. Licensing and STARS are separate: a provider without a tier is still certified and still inspected.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against Mckeesport Family Center?
- Pennsylvania does not report on this for Mckeesport Family Center. The sanction field is marked "N/A" in the state's dataset, which is not the same as a recorded "No". Look the provider up at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch for its licensing record.
Does this page show inspection results for Mckeesport Family Center?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects Mckeesport Family Center's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
