  • My three boys have been attending Nana’s Daycare since they were 6 months, 3 years old, and 4 years old. They have always been loved, cared for, and treated like family. The staff is patient, trustworthy, and truly dedicated to the children. I love the summer camp and holidays parties .Prices are affordable and they work with the families when the children transition to the summer camp. I’ve always had peace of mind knowing my boys were safe and happy here. I highly recommend them to any parent looking for quality childcare.

  • My toddler was here for 2yrs and the staff was nothing short of amazing. She came in at 9m and I was so worried about going back to work because of how little she was. They treated her like family and my child would be happy to arrive at daycare. The caretakers always called and kept me up to date if she didnt want to eat or got sick.

  • Some of the workers are very disrespectful. The director is NEVER at the office and she is quick to say “ none of my workers to me about any complaints from you.” My son attended this daycare for 8 year. Yes he has had small issues with other kids that attend the daycare but never really big problems until personally property started to become damaged and my son was being verbally and physically abused by another worker and her child that attends the school. I made server arrangements to have my son kept away from the worker and the child but they failed at protecting him. I had meetings with the director but she really didn’t care and actions speak and she showed by the way she handled the situation my children and I was very unsatisfied. Any time there was an incident I had to hear the information from my son then bring it to their attention just to hear more about what happened. Just very unsatisfactory business that is being handled. Sad to say things have not been the same since Covid. Low on workers lunches are horrible. The kids eat Chef Boyardee about 3 times a week it’s horrible now and maybe if the director was there more a lot of things could have been deescalated a lot sooner. The establishment is very unorganized and the staff is out of control.

  • This morning as I was dropping my son off at school. I saw one of the Van's dropping kids off at school, not properly stop, driver hopped out of the car to I assume help cross the kids, van was still moving forward and almost ran over 2 of their students. I'm hoping the parents were at least notified of the near miss. I don't understand why they can't take the kids to the school parking lot and walk them to school like the parents are required to do. Stopping on a busy street and making them crossover without making sure they even make it into the building is unnerving.

  • (Post from Facebook) So I received a phone call today from Ms. Lisa, to pick my 7 yr old son John up from Nana’s Daycare on Frankford & Tooresdale Avenue! Not a reason to why & what only that my child had got into a altercation. So I arrive to the daycare 5 minutes later only to find out that my 7 year old son was choke, dragged on the floor, hit or punch like he described it, taking to a bathroom where he says the lady was on him cursing at him and saying the B word, the N word & the F word. When I arrived I calmly asked her what happen before I entered the premises and she yell at me saying grab your kids & leave. I walked in and my child was gasping & crying hysterically, trying to explain himself. No other teacher at the facility even tried to inform me of the situation at all! They were just standing around. When I went up to her and asked her if she put her hands on my son she yelled and got confrontational..... I am already taking precautionary steps to make sure this doesn’t occur to any other child at any facility! This daycare has to be shut down immediately pending the investigation. Cameras are all around the premises, so I’m asking that the video be released!!!! Please share & make this go viral. My son is a child with a disability but no child or parent should be treated with disrespect & unprofessionally by any childcare worker! I am extremely upset & emotional seeing my son in this situation so please SHARE!!!!

Questions parents ask about NANAS DAYCARE

Is NANAS DAYCARE a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. NANAS DAYCARE holds Pennsylvania certificate 103305313-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Philadelphia County. The current certificate runs to September 23, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is NANAS DAYCARE's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates NANAS DAYCARE STAR 2, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on July 9, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against NANAS DAYCARE?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against NANAS DAYCARE at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does NANAS DAYCARE accept child care subsidy?

Yes. NANAS DAYCARE holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 18.

Does this page show inspection results for NANAS DAYCARE?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects NANAS DAYCARE's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
