  • This school was the best experience I’ve ever had with childcare. Lora, the director made everything easy and is so helpful with whatever questions I have. Within a short period of time my daughter was able to recite the alphabet, count to 30, she even started writing her own name at home and supersizes is constantly with the new things that she learns. The teachers genuinely care for these kids and it shows. 10/10 recommend!

  • My kids go to New Hanover Child Care and it certainly comes with all the all the niceties of a local daycare. The teachers that were onsite when my son started here in 2018 are still there. They have small class sizes to ensure the kids get the attention needed. Their communication with parents is excellent. My 1 year old gets a daily summary which includes what she ate and when, nap duration, diaper changes, activities performed and any relevant notes about behavior/health. While they are local, New Hanover Child Care offers the professionalism of the larger chain learning centers with their enrichment curriculum. Every week my son comes home with a Scholastic workbook that he completed. He can talk through the workbook and discuss what he learned. both kids come home with crafts made at daycare every few days. The teachers perform a detailed learning-wellness assessment on the kids each year to track their growth. There are planned special visits from members of the community; a fire truck comes and talks to the kids about fire safety. Overall great organization and great people.

  • My son has been with this daycare since October 2019, he loves it as well as my husband and I. There is something to say about a smaller owned daycare, there is such a feeling of family here. We love all of the teachers. They have been amazing dealing with and communicating about all of the crazy things we are going through with the virus. You know they sincerely care about our kids!

  • We absolutely love this daycare. It is a smaller daycare than the one we used to use and I can't rave enough about the family feeling of this place. Especially after all that has happened this year, they have been so wonderful in transitioning our kids and making sure everyone is comfortable. The director feels more like a friend and is always quick to get back to me when I have a concern or question. My kids run from the car in the morning to get inside, they just love it here and we do too.

  • Love this daycare for when my grandsons attended there this past couple years. Lora the director was so helpful with everything. She loves and enjoys the children there. If you needed anything she would help out. I highly recommend this daycare as the teachers and lora are the best. I want to give them a 20 star review if I could. Please look into this daycare as you and your children would love it

  • My daughter started at New Hanover Childcare when she was 3 yrs old after being at home with me and my husband from birth until 3. I was hesitant as to how she would be since she was a big mommas girl. The staff at the center welcomed her with open arms and made her feel at home. I couldn't ask for a better childcare setting for my child. She is now 8 and loves going to daycare and playing with her friends and seeing her teachers.

Questions parents ask about NEW HANOVER CHILD CARE

Is NEW HANOVER CHILD CARE a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. NEW HANOVER CHILD CARE holds Pennsylvania certificate 100302040-0002, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Montgomery County. The current certificate runs to May 30, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is NEW HANOVER CHILD CARE's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates NEW HANOVER CHILD CARE STAR 2, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on July 13, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against NEW HANOVER CHILD CARE?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against NEW HANOVER CHILD CARE at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does NEW HANOVER CHILD CARE accept child care subsidy?

Yes. NEW HANOVER CHILD CARE holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 17.

Does this page show inspection results for NEW HANOVER CHILD CARE?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects NEW HANOVER CHILD CARE's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
