Patty is a one-of-a-kind teacher and caregiver! She takes a keen interest in each child, meets them where they're at while also challenging them to try and learn new things. From hatching chicks to learning about bees, creative playtime to hands-on activities, science and art project, baking, biking, and gardening, Patty keeps the children engaged, curious, and excited to come to school each day. Both of my children have thrived under her care over the years and went on to their schools with the academic skills they needed to succeed. Patty deeply loves and cares for the children in her school and they love her! Both of my boys go to Ms. Patty’s, and it was hands down the best decision I’ve ever made for their education. Ms. Patty has over 40 years of teaching experience, and it shows in everything she does. She truly focuses on building the strong foundation kids need to love school and succeed in it. What I love most is how small her classes are. This allows her to really get to know each child and work on their individual strengths and areas that need growth. Her curriculum is impressive. It covers learning the alphabet, numbers, and colors to writing their own names, understanding the seasons, and exploring things like metamorphosis with caterpillars and how seeds turn into flowers. She takes a very hands on approach and you can just feel her passion for teaching. When you drop your kids off, you know they’re in safe, caring hands. She’s not just watching them. She’s molding these little scholars. The kids even get age appropriate homework, which gently prepares them for bigger school, and it’s super family friendly. Plus, Ms. Patty sends a weekly progress report so you always know how they’re doing. I’ve never once worried about my boys while they’re there. It’s just that kind of place. Both of my boys attended, and I’m so excited that my daughter will be starting next year! Ms. Patty and her helper, Mr. Lou, are truly amazing. They’re fully certified, registered with the state, and everything you’d want in a preschool. I recommend Ms. Patty’s a million times over. We need more teachers like her!

Patty’s Place has been the perfect fit for our child. We love the small class size. Children are constantly engaged with lots of hands-on and outdoor opportunities for learning. The individual attention and scaffolding ensures that no child is ever bored. Graduates we have met are more than ready to start kindergarten. They emphasize social skills, independence and play based learning while still touching on academic readiness at the pace/age of each student.
