My family will be always be so grateful to Prodigy. My son attended from 4 months until 2.5 years old. We only left because my family moved out of the area and the commute ended up being too long. The staff are always so friendly and willing to go out of their way to support my son. He learned and developed so much during his time at Prodigy. Ms. Chris and Ms. Ashley are easy to communicate with through the Brightwheel App. Whenever I had a concern and voiced it, I saw immediate improvements. We had the best experiences with all teachers, especially Mrs. Ashley and Ms. Shavonne.
Casey MaguireMay 1, 2026My son has been going here for almost a year and we are so happy with his care. You can tell the teachers really care about the kids and we get updates and photos all day with what our son is doing. It’s also one of the most affordable daycares in the area.
Sara FreedApr 30, 2026My husband and I would never be able to work the shifts we do and feel comfortable and happy with the care our kids receive if it wasn't for Prodigy. Our older son has gone to PLC since 20 months old and is now finishing his first year of (free) prek at the center. His teachers throughout have been kind, caring, and communicative about his needs and growth. They have helped us wean from pacifiers, practice drinking from open cups, potty training and more. Everyone at Prodigy greets my son's by name when we walk through the building, they make him feel so good about himself! We sent our younger son from 6 months and have been so happy with our experience in the baby room. His teachers have always been caring and he has a great time while he's at daycare. The fact that they have two different private, fenced outdoor play areas for different age groups is amazing, I love that my kids get guaranteed outdoor play dependent on weather. The icing on the cake is their ability to offer part time schedules, with early drop off (6am start!) and late pick up. Being a shift worker, this is essential and so few daycare centers in the city offer such a service. And all at affordable prices!! The only thing I would love is if they can find funding to redo the parking lot so that it flows better. But if the parking lot is my biggest issue, I'd say they're doing an excellent job.
Kayla LuettgenApr 30, 2026My toddler has been at prodigy for over a year, and my twin babies for over 8 months, and we are so grateful for the care Prodigy provides to our kids!! The staff are motivated, caring, and communicate well. Our kids have had great experiences especially with Ms Tori, Ms Aeris, Ms Marri, Ms Shy, Ms Imani, and Ms Janiya! I feel like everyone in the school knows each one of our kids, even staff whose classrooms our kids have never been formally assigned to. Parents and staff are friendly and kind, even Nasir who handles the food program! Also, prodigy is one of the only places (maybe the only?) in the area where you can get free PreK, infantcare, and fun outdoor play areas all in one place. No school is perfect, but Prodigy is providing an extremely necessary, high quality service to a diverse group of Philly parents. Caring for children is such hard work!
Laura SensenigApr 21, 2026I’m extremely disappointed with how this daycare handles health and safety. The entire center recently experienced a clear outbreak of Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease, yet parents were never informed. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time they’ve failed to communicate about contagious illnesses, and now my child keeps getting sick as a result. Illnesses can happen anywhere, but transparency is the bare minimum a daycare should provide. Parents deserve to know when there’s an outbreak so we can take precautions, monitor our children, and prevent the sickness from spreading even further. Instead, we’re left in the dark while our kids continue to cycle through the same preventable infections. Until the daycare takes communication and health protocols seriously, I cannot recommend it. Parents deserve honesty and better care for their children.
BriannaDec 6, 2025The teachers are kind, patient, and truly care about each child’s growth and happiness. My child has not only learned so much academically, but has also grown emotionally and socially. It’s amazing to see the excitement they have every morning to go to school! The communication from the staff is excellent they keep me informed and involved, which i really appreciate. The classroom is always clean, safe, and full of fun, engaging activities. Most importantly, I’ve seen my child become more confident, curious, and eager to learn.

Questions parents ask about PRODIGY LEARNING CENTER
Is PRODIGY LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?
- Yes. PRODIGY LEARNING CENTER holds Pennsylvania certificate 100153620-0002, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Philadelphia County. The current certificate runs to February 11, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is PRODIGY LEARNING CENTER's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania rates PRODIGY LEARNING CENTER STAR 4 - ACC, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on December 23, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against PRODIGY LEARNING CENTER?
- No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against PRODIGY LEARNING CENTER at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
Does PRODIGY LEARNING CENTER accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. PRODIGY LEARNING CENTER holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 18.
Does this page show inspection results for PRODIGY LEARNING CENTER?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects PRODIGY LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
