  • My son has been going to Punkin Patch for about a year now. He started in the infant room and is now with the toddlers. This daycare has been a great fit for our family. I get the sense that not only the teachers, but also the administrators, rotating staff and other aids really get to know and care about all of the kids individually. The teachers and directors do a great job keeping us up to date on what my son is learning, and I love to see the photos they share with us throughout the day. I can’t emphasize how much I appreciate the teachers and their dedication. Not only are they kind and great with the kids, but they are clearly trained professionals. My husband and I attended our 1-year-old’s Valentine's Day party last week. He choked on a pretzel, and I witnessed his teacher swoop in a perform CPR immediately. It was truly such a relief; she literally saved his life. And she was clearly no stranger to this situation. Once again, we really like Punkin Patch. It’s been a great support to our growing family!

  • My child has been here since October. He absolutely loves every single person there. They communicate, they love your kids. They’re literally the best. I am so grateful for them and they aren’t super outrageous in price. I think they are priced well and my son loves it. He’s thriving and knows so many more words now too. He’s going to be 2 in March, and was already smart but he can count to 5 and say his colors and almost speak sentences.

  • Mary and Sierra are both amazing! I feel so comfortable dropping my kid off everyday knowing one of them is there. They both treat my child as one of their own. They are nurturing, loving, kind-hearted, dedicated teachers that work so hard to prepare these kids to thrive!!! I will be so sad when my kid leaves! Mary and Sierra, thank you! You both are my reason for keeping my child here! My family loves you both!

  • We have truly been impressed by the changes at the center. My child’s mother brings our child here, and we’ve both noticed the difference. Mr. JJ is excellent with communication and always attentive to any matter that comes up. His dedication makes us wish he’d never have to leave and go back to Chicago!

  • i went here for a couple of years back in the early 2010s, (im now 18) and it was terrible. the staff dislocated my elbow, and would frequently curse and yell at me and the other children.

  • The staff is incredibly rude and picks and chooses the children they want to favor. The ghetto one will be one of the first you meet. She comes in the morning with her 2 kids and does nothing but scream at them. If she treats her own kids that way, I can only imagine how she treats others. My son has been sent home for prolonged crying and a “fever” (checked immediately after my 3min ride home with TWO thermometers and BOTH read normal) multiple times but what they really meant was he was crying too much for their liking. He would come home with bite marks and scratches with dried blood several times, which according to their policy meant the child inflicting the wound must go home and both parents are given accident reports. My son was sent home for “inflicting” wounds however I never received ANY reports for his own and I have pictures for proof. They aren’t honest and would lie about when he was changed or what he ate. My child is picky and wouldn’t dare touch half the stuff they say he does, especially not 100%. And they have a wonderful app that tells you when they get changed or eat and quite a few times I got notifications before mealtimes saying he ate most of whatever or 12:00 and he ate all of his AFTERNOON snack. Most recently, they kicked my child out because he was out of the daycare for an illness. He was feeling better so we sent him back with doctor permission. His test results came back days later with an infection but since it was already cured, I felt no need to discuss. Tori was rude and unprofessional during the whole scenario. Plus my daughter got kicked out as well when it had nothing to do with her. How traumatizing for my soon to be 5yo to be woken from her nap, her things thrown into a TRASH BAG and made to leave. She didn’t understand why she had to leave and wasn’t able to say goodbye to anyone that she was attached to!! So sad for my children to have to leave their friends and the GOOD teachers but after the way we were treated it is DEFINITELY a blessing!!!

Questions parents ask about PUNKIN PATCH CHILDCARE

Is PUNKIN PATCH CHILDCARE a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. PUNKIN PATCH CHILDCARE holds Pennsylvania certificate 104309729-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in York County. The current certificate runs to April 19, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is PUNKIN PATCH CHILDCARE's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates PUNKIN PATCH CHILDCARE STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on May 8, 2024. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against PUNKIN PATCH CHILDCARE?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against PUNKIN PATCH CHILDCARE at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does PUNKIN PATCH CHILDCARE accept child care subsidy?

Yes. PUNKIN PATCH CHILDCARE holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 10.

Does this page show inspection results for PUNKIN PATCH CHILDCARE?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects PUNKIN PATCH CHILDCARE's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
