  • Hello! I do not understand why would someone rate the place so bad when their children don't even go there People are mean at their nature. I can not say anything about special needs children but I am happy that my son is attending this school. Staff is professional and well organized Always on top of things with a lot of reminders. Teachers are loving and caring They have the right nice approach to children. Encouraging and supportive A lot of different and creative activities Homework and outside play time They read many stories and lay a good human base in children's life with green or red choices The Facebook updates, reminder and pictures is a nice feature 👌 I would definitely recommend!!!

  • The quality of service went downhill with the new management. Children with special needs, behaviors or disabilities are no longer cherished and given the services they require. Staffing is not being maintained (likely due to the poor management style) leaving inconsistencies in the classrooms and therefore in the care that is provided to all children. My child specifically was requested to have an aide with her at all times (provided by us, which at that rate, I'm unsure why we would even pay for a daycare in the first place). Proper procedures were not followed with regards to the LIU, leading us to believe that management was not aware of the proper procedures, and when informed of the procedures that needed to be followed, they became uncooperative with the request for extra services (which they had initiated after threatening expulsion). If your kids are perfect angels, they may do well here. Very disappointed in the direction this center took recently. Our child was enrolled from Feburary 2016 through October 2018.

  • I heard very bad things about this place. Never had a child go there but I know people that did. The director is very mean to the children I was told.

  • The Rainbow Junction Preschool is very impressive. It is well organized and affordable. The teachers are great with the kids and there are many activities throughout the school year in which parents are invited to observe and/or participate.

  • I have experience in my job of traveling between many daycare and preschools to provide therapy to students receiving early intervention. In my travels I have seen many different teaching and caregiving approaches being used. I have been very pleased with the loving, caring, nurturing, and positively engaging approach Rainbow Junction staff use with the children they care for. When dropping by the daycare, I see teachers engaging in play with their students by sitting on the floor with them or at a table using manipulatives. The teachers always have positive things to say about each child. The staff seem to have a good understanding of child development and what types of behaviors are typical for the age of the children they are caring for, not becoming frustrated with them, but taking things in stride and even embracing the stage of development, yet taking opportunities to teach the children how to solve problems and learn emotional control. Everyday when my son wakes up in the morning he asks, excitedly, if he is going to school today! He absolutely loves going to school/daycare and is disappointed on the days he doesn't. My son is also surprising us all the time by what he has learned in school. They do a great job of integrating learning across all areas of development. When my son was 2 his teacher brought to my attention that she noticed a delay in his speech. She assured me that she would work on helping him develop it but that we may want to consider consulting with early intervention. Within 2 months his speech began to explode and we no longer had concerns about his communication. I highly recommend Rainbow Junction's daycare and I am excited to have my youngest son start attending once he turns two!

Questions parents ask about RAINBOW JUNCTION CHILD CARE CENTER

Is RAINBOW JUNCTION CHILD CARE CENTER a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. RAINBOW JUNCTION CHILD CARE CENTER holds Pennsylvania certificate 100196770-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in York County. The current certificate runs to January 7, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is RAINBOW JUNCTION CHILD CARE CENTER's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates RAINBOW JUNCTION CHILD CARE CENTER STAR 2, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on December 19, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against RAINBOW JUNCTION CHILD CARE CENTER?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against RAINBOW JUNCTION CHILD CARE CENTER at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does RAINBOW JUNCTION CHILD CARE CENTER accept child care subsidy?

Yes. RAINBOW JUNCTION CHILD CARE CENTER holds a subsidy agreement with the state. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 10.

Does this page show inspection results for RAINBOW JUNCTION CHILD CARE CENTER?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects RAINBOW JUNCTION CHILD CARE CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
