Our Son attended preschool here from 2 years old up through pre-k. We loved having him there. They worked with him through potty training and speech development in such a nurturing way. He thrived there and had so much progress in his development. He built such a community of friends that he still carries with him in his elementary school. We are truly grateful for everything the school has done for us and him. They went above and beyond at every moment and made our transition and our time there wonderful.

We sent our two kids to playschool and we loved the warm, welcoming environment there. All the teachers are outstanding and it was a joy to watch our kids learn, grow, and develop friendships.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience at Society Hill Play School. All three of our kids attended, and we felt consistently confident in the care, attention, and thoughtfulness the teachers brought every day. The staff is warm and genuinely invested in each child’s growth, both academically and socially. There’s a great balance of structured learning and play, and our kids developed confidence, curiosity, and strong friendships during their time there. The community is welcoming and supportive, and we’re incredibly grateful for the foundation they helped build for our children.

The remarkable sense of community and heartfelt care for our children stands out. The teachers consistently went above and beyond to understand our children, handling every situation with kindness and compassion. SHS’s approach goes far beyond teaching—they nurture, encourage, and celebrate every milestone alongside us. Now that our children are 9 and 6, we are grateful for the warmth and support from the entire SHS community. It’s clear that the staff cares deeply, not just about our kids’ education, but also about their happiness and well-being. We owe much of their educational preparation to the nurturing and supportive environment at SHS Playschool, and we are thankful every day that our children are surrounded by such dedicated people.

I highly recommend Society Hill Synagogue Playschool. I have two children that both started at the Playschool at two years old and Continued through pre-K. Not only is the Playschool safe, but the faculty is nurturing, and there is a large sense of community throughout the Synagogue. We currently also have our children enrolled at the Hebrew school at Society Hill Synagogue, due to the wonderful experience that we have had since the very first day our children walked through the door at just two years old.
