  • This center is amazing! It is like a best kept secret. The staff is trustworthy and caring. The administration is attentive and responsive. Anything you could hope for in a childcare situation is prrsent. They provide a variety of learning opportunities includinvmg lots of community outreach and incorporation. Kids are supported and encouraged to grow emotionally, intellectually, and physically. The time and dedication the staff has to kids, families, and their community is exceptional and deserves praise.

Questions parents ask about START SMART LEARNING CENTER

Is START SMART LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. START SMART LEARNING CENTER holds Pennsylvania certificate 103632970-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Cambria County. The current certificate runs to June 26, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is START SMART LEARNING CENTER's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates START SMART LEARNING CENTER STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on October 8, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against START SMART LEARNING CENTER?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against START SMART LEARNING CENTER at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does START SMART LEARNING CENTER accept child care subsidy?

Yes. START SMART LEARNING CENTER holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 6.

Does this page show inspection results for START SMART LEARNING CENTER?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects START SMART LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
