  • Great place for kids, playing sports and just hanging out for fun.

  • I took my grandson here to get in the sprinkler system they have here and he had a ball. The playground is always full of children having fun. A great place to visit

  • My girl’s love this playground

  • This is a review of the 2024 Summer Camp Program. The program offers lots of trips, included lunch and breakfast, scholarships/affordable tuition, and clean facilities. However, I am incredibly disappointed with the decline in quality at the summer camp’s programming for the children. The perceived lack of planning, supervision, and overall professionalism from some of the staff was evident throughout her time there. It's truly a case of 'getting what you paid for' as the program's standards have noticeably dropped. I would not recommend this camp to any parents looking for a well-organized and professional summer camp experience - ie, arts and crafts/enrichment activities.

  • Unable to use the swings, they were all broken except for the infant swings. Lots of trash on the ground, inside and ouside of the park. Trash cans were filled to the rim.

Questions parents ask about STURGIS PLAYGROUND

Is STURGIS PLAYGROUND a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. STURGIS PLAYGROUND holds Pennsylvania certificate 100579299-0006, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Philadelphia County. The current certificate runs to March 4, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is STURGIS PLAYGROUND's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates STURGIS PLAYGROUND STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on February 21, 2023. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against STURGIS PLAYGROUND?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against STURGIS PLAYGROUND at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does this page show inspection results for STURGIS PLAYGROUND?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects STURGIS PLAYGROUND's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
