Just toured the facility and we start this coming week. I’m incredibly impressed how clean the facility is, how beautiful the playground area is, and how structured it seems. I wish we knew this place existed when our youngest was in daycare. We are so thrilled we found this gem of a place! The director was so nice, the paperwork was so thorough and they had a genuine interest in the care for our son. Very happy.
mvas66Aug 17, 2025Very happy at Sunny Day! After I got a full time job last winter after just moving to the area, I was surprised to find not many daycares around compared to where I lived previously in the Lehigh Valley. I toured some really gross places here and was so thrilled when I met with Mrs. Jen. I met her and toured the facility, knowing there was a wait list, and was so pleased with how nice and clean the facility was. Luckily, she was able to find a spot for my son pretty quickly and I am SO THANKFUL! Mrs. Jen and Mr. Joe, the owners, are wonderful people. All of the teachers have been kind. The communication here is impeccable (with kids, of course there have been lice and stomach bugs but they notify parents right away!) Bonus for us that it is only 3 minutes from our house!! but i would drive further knowing my son's care is in Jen's hands!
Amanda RuthJun 8, 2024My daughter finished her first year of preschool here and we could not be happier with this school. The building and classrooms are always organized, clean, and beautifully decorated. The teachers are friendly, caring, and truly care about the children. Communication was easy using their app, and I always got a response in a timely manner. They kept us updated on any kind of sickness going around any of the classrooms. My daughter absolutely loved her teachers and classmates and really enjoyed going to school. There were lots of special activities done for the holidays, lots of outdoor time, and she always came home with a craft from that day. She went into the school barely knowing her alphabet and within months knew her alphabet, numbers, can write her name, and much more. We would recommend this school to everyone!
Amy KrasniqiJul 11, 2023Caring staff, structured environment, beautiful facility, nasty owner. Jen Homza is very assertive in the way that she speaks in general, which is extremely unnecessary. Her primary concern is her business, not the children who attend the daycare. They expect you to notify her when your child is ill, but doesn't notify you when your child has been exposed to an illness. Rules apply only to certain individuals at her discretion because as she says "its her school". She feels she can tell you how to dress your child, again because "it's her school". My 6 month old (who wasn't even crawling yet, so it's not a safely issue) wasn't allowed to wear sleep and plays because she didn't like it. Jen went as far to say he wouldn't be accepted at the facility if he arrived in one, and we'd still have to pay them for the day. She then went on to insinuate that we don't practice basic hygiene with oyr children before school because my infant attended in what she believes are pajamas. They're outfits that can be used as pajamas for INFANTS. Hence the common name they're sold by; "SLEEP AND PLAY". Infants aren't going to business meetings, and deserve to be comfortable. I feel terrible for the staff, I can only imagine what it's like for them dealing with her as their employer.
Theresa FJul 8, 2023My husband and I brought our 14 month old in for a tour with the Owner, Ms. Jen. Her passion for this business really shines through! We were thankul for the one on one time she spent, answering all of our questions. She offered our child age appropriate books while we chatted, from a large library that gets rotated through the classrooms. This center is brand new, impeccably clean, security is tight, feels very safe. We really liked that all communication and payments go through an app. Our little one was happy to be there and was given time to explore. The daily schedule is well thought out. Early Potty Learning is offered, along with 2 teachers always in the room, which was important to us.

Does SUNNY DAY PRESCHOOL AND DAYCARE accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. SUNNY DAY PRESCHOOL AND DAYCARE holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool. - No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
