  • We love TCLC Greentree. It’s run very well and the teachers are kind, caring, creative, fun, and just overall great! Our daughter is happy, healthy, learning, and growing. We couldn’t ask for a better daycare experience!

  • My son is 2 and he has been attending Tender Care for almost 5 months now. He loves it. They have such flexible options to do a full day or half day. They do the cutest arts & crafts. They have such nice events for the parents to attend like art shows, muffins with mom, donuts with dad, etc. They provide excellent breakfast, lunches, and snacks. They even have water days in the summer outside on the playground. The directors Anna & Brenda are always wonderful and accommodating in every way. I genuinely feel he is safe here, they love him, and treat him well. He will definitely be attending through preschool before he starts Kindergarten!

  • My daughter enjoys each single minute she spends there. Currently I am sending her only two days a week and she keeps on asking why I am not sending her every day. This her first time experience in a preschool. I am surprised the way she adores this learning centre. I am grateful for each and every staff who works hard for these kids and reads their mind amazingly. A special thanks to Miss Kristen, my daughter loves you.

Questions parents ask about Tender Care Learning Centers

Is Tender Care Learning Centers a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. Tender Care Learning Centers holds Pennsylvania certificate 100141191-0017, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Allegheny County. The current certificate runs to August 24, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is Tender Care Learning Centers's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates Tender Care Learning Centers STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on June 26, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against Tender Care Learning Centers?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against Tender Care Learning Centers at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does Tender Care Learning Centers accept child care subsidy?

Yes. Tender Care Learning Centers holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 5.

Does this page show inspection results for Tender Care Learning Centers?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects Tender Care Learning Centers's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
