  • Starting off my first review. I find this place a good place to have birthdays and parties or other types of activities. I would personally go here myself.

  • It's a fun place to have birthday parties, special events, after church activities (such as The Spot program at 1:30pm Sundays). Just call ahead and see what's available!

Questions parents ask about THE COMMON PLACE

Is THE COMMON PLACE a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. THE COMMON PLACE holds Pennsylvania certificate 103266888-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Philadelphia County. The current certificate runs to March 27, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is THE COMMON PLACE's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates THE COMMON PLACE STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on August 28, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against THE COMMON PLACE?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against THE COMMON PLACE at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does THE COMMON PLACE accept child care subsidy?

Yes. THE COMMON PLACE holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 18.

Does this page show inspection results for THE COMMON PLACE?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects THE COMMON PLACE's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
