  • The Foundation for Delaware County has been a consistent source of support for Chester Eastside's After School Program. The Foundation staff acutely understands the community, and has the experience and expertise to offer guidance and direction. In short, the stronger the Foundation is, the stronger our community will be.

  • The Foundation for Delaware County has provided invaluable support to establishing Teachers' Teammates, a year-round teacher resource center serving under-resourced schools in Delco. They thoroughly understand the landscape of non-profit operations and strategically provide not only grants but professional development, networking opportunities, launched the powerhouse fundraising campaign - Delco Gives and so much more. Helping us launch order delivery to the teachers we serve, removed a significant barrier to the abundant resources we collect on behalf of local students and educators. The Foundation are our partners in every best sense. The staff and board leadership epitomizes integrity and model best practices in the field. We look forward to witnessing all that they will accomplish for the benefit of Delaware County residents.

  • Our small non-profit organization cannot rely on government assistance. We need funders like the Foundation for Delaware County to help us deliver Music, Arts and Education to our community. We are grateful for their support for these and our Coffee on the PATH initiatives helping to prepare high school students with disabilities for self-sustaining lives after high school.

  • The Foundation for Delaware County has been a lifeline for Delaware County non-profits and the communities they serve. This includes food insecurity, healthy moms and baby's, education, literacy for adults, children's programs and much more. The Foundation offers grant opportunities, educational training and resources and the incredible Delco Gives program which in two years has raised nearly $4 Million dollars for Delaware County Non-profits.

  • The administration and staff at the Foundation for Delaware County truly care about the non-profits in Delco and their work. What other foundation provides social services AND supports other non-profits? They are easily approachable and have done amazing things for our neighborhoods with their DelcoGives platform which makes it easy to raise money and reach funders we would never be able to contact on our own. They have helped both The Darby Library and the Darby Residents Association immeasurably over the past few years. It is great to have such an organization in our area where the staff know you personally and can be reached with a phone call anytime. Their Director answers every email usually within hours, and does not hide behind layers of gatekeeper staff. Cannot speak more highly of them.

Questions parents ask about THE FOUNDATION FOR DELAWARE COUNTY

Is THE FOUNDATION FOR DELAWARE COUNTY a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. THE FOUNDATION FOR DELAWARE COUNTY holds Pennsylvania certificate 103248191-0002, listed as "LISTED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Delaware County. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is THE FOUNDATION FOR DELAWARE COUNTY's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania publishes no Keystone STARS tier for THE FOUNDATION FOR DELAWARE COUNTY. Keystone STARS is voluntary, so a provider with no tier has not taken part rather than been judged. Licensing and STARS are separate: a provider without a tier is still certified and still inspected.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against THE FOUNDATION FOR DELAWARE COUNTY?

Pennsylvania does not report on this for THE FOUNDATION FOR DELAWARE COUNTY. The sanction field is marked "N/A" in the state's dataset, which is not the same as a recorded "No". Look the provider up at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch for its licensing record.

Does this page show inspection results for THE FOUNDATION FOR DELAWARE COUNTY?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects THE FOUNDATION FOR DELAWARE COUNTY's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
