A wonderful family owned daycare. The owner and her employees have worked together for years and really helped me feel comfortable bringing my daughter in. Never had any issues.
Freedom Rinse Co.Nov 9, 2025My daughter went here 2 years ago. I had to pull her out. She constantly had a terrible diaper rash every time I picked her up from here. She would scream for hours and bleed. After I took her out the diaper rash stopped. She thrived and did beautifully in another daycare with no diaper rash issue. Who know what goes out but the girl running the place was clueless. Not sure if she’s still in charge but yikes!
AnonymousSep 14, 2023I currently have 2 boys that attend this daycare full time. My 2 and a half year old loves coming here and everyday when we pick him up he runs back to his class and says he not going home. My 4 month old smiles everytime he sees the lovely staff in his room. Both my boys are well taken care of everyday. The staff are wonderful and go above and beyond taken care of my boys. My older son has been learning so much from coming here it amazes me the things he comes home and does and says. I love gingerbread house and my kids will be staying here until they can not anymore.
Kristle RiehlMar 16, 2023My 1 1/2 year old started attending a few months ago and loves it. All the staff are courteous and responsive and I have had nothing but positive experiences so far. We looked at several daycares and their rates are more then reasonable. Overall we are very happy with our choice so far.
Michael PeruzziNov 12, 2021Last September in 2018 my daughter started here after having trouble at another daycare! She and I absolutely loved it here! she started kindergarten this past august and was so upset she had to leave we past it everyday on our way home and she’s always asking if she can go back! Her teachers were so amazing with her and I was so happy to see my child coming home and showing me all the cool things she learned in sign language and more! I definitely would recommend this place I did so for my stepmom and I might even try and get her back in for the summer
Danielle ReissDec 5, 2019I was with the gingerbread house for 21 years. never in all the years I was with them did I ever have any major problems with them. If I had any concerns or questions with what happened during the day they were more than happy to show me the camera footage of their room. They have cameras in every room of the building. They have always treated my children like their own. They were a life saver since me and there father had to work. I have and always will recommend the gingerbread house to all friends and family. Don't listen to disgruntle employees that got fired or just quit because they can't handle children and then want to bash them. They were so good to my children two of them work for them now. So if they were abusive or mean to children my children would not have chosen to work there. If ever I have grandchildren they will be there too. I love these women and I thank every one of them for helping raise my children with me. I owe them so much more than I could ever give them.

Questions parents ask about THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE
Is THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?
- Yes. THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE holds Pennsylvania certificate 100277921-0005, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Bucks County. The current certificate runs to August 23, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.
What is THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE's Keystone STARS rating?
- Pennsylvania rates THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE STAR 2, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on January 19, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.
Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE?
- No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
Does THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE accept child care subsidy?
- Yes. THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 16.
Does this page show inspection results for THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE?
- No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
