  • This is the second day care that my son has been too. His first daycare was not ideal for him and unfortunately caused him to have a trauma response from the employees. When I looked at the Learning Locomotion, I felt instantly comfortable and the environment is clean and well cared for. My son has adapted quickly and now looks forward to going each day. Highly recommend this daycare.

  • My son has been attending the learning locomotion since May 2025. At the time he started he was around 16 months old and has never been in a daycare setting. I looked at few other daycare’s, and I was very overwhelmed, stressed and just not comfortable with any of them. I almost gave up on my search, but I am so grateful I made one last call to the learning locomotion in Wind Gap. When I toured the learning locomotion, I instantly felt very comfortable in the environment. It is a very clean facility, all of the staff is absolutely amazing and you could definitely tell they care about children. My son only goes 2 days a week but we feel he has learned so much and he also gets very excited to see his teachers and friends.

  • The Learning Locomotion is by far the absolute best daycare in the county. the staff is amazing beyond words. my daughter we there for 2.5 years. Their preschool program is the best thing to have happen to my daughter. The staff truly loves each and every child in their care like it's their own child. They gave my little girl the confidence to go and start kindergarten with no fear. she walked into her big girl school with her head held high. She wouldn't have had that courage and confidence without the learning locomotion staff.

  • The learning locomotion is one of the best daycares I have seen. They are clean, organized and secure. ALL staff always have a smile on their face. They are all very friendly, Compassionate, supportive, and well trained. This daycare feels like family and feels like home. I am comfortable, bringing my son here as he is loved, cared for, and safe.

Questions parents ask about THE LEARNING LOCOMOTION

Is THE LEARNING LOCOMOTION a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. THE LEARNING LOCOMOTION holds Pennsylvania certificate 100135793-0003, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Northampton County. The current certificate runs to February 2, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is THE LEARNING LOCOMOTION's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates THE LEARNING LOCOMOTION STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on December 4, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against THE LEARNING LOCOMOTION?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against THE LEARNING LOCOMOTION at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does THE LEARNING LOCOMOTION accept child care subsidy?

Yes. THE LEARNING LOCOMOTION holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 14.

Does this page show inspection results for THE LEARNING LOCOMOTION?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects THE LEARNING LOCOMOTION's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
