  • The best daycare I have ever taken my children to. They are kind and understanding, and my children love them. They have tons of activities for your child, and they teach your child while they are there. My children have started saying new words that they never said before! If your child is not potty trained, they will potty train them while they are there. They are also very flexible when you can pick up your child at a scheduled time. This daycare is amazing,

  • I know this is going to be completely rebuttled by the owner. However, take my review how you wish. There are some teachers at this facility who honestly do not like children. I will start off by saying McKayla is the only teacher who works well with children at this center. The center is owned by two sisters who inherited the business from their late mother. Jessica is decent but doesnt say much, Sam is very opinionated frequently smokes outside the location and will spew any dirty laundry that these kids have. I found details about the children and their parents who attend this daycare I shouldnt know. One of my biggest complaints is with the preschool Teacher Sylvia, which is ironic as my child wasnt even in the pre-school room when she attended. A handful of times I have walked into the location to drop my child off and I can hear her screaming at the top of her lungs in the back of the facility at 4 yr olds. Another time I was walking in and passing the preschool room the children were running around and she was sitting at her desk taking selfies. My daughter started this facility at 17 months, she was off the summer prior with my mother and was almost completely potty trained. Sam assured me they would continue with her , they frequently stuck her in the baby room which of course doesnt have potty breaks or visits. So it took me longer to potty train my daughter as she reverted backwards. My daughter would also come using new words like "stupid". I realized within that week that the 2 yr old teacher frequently uses this word. With my daughter constantly being switched around my daughter would act out, also my husband or myself were not advised at pick up. When the owner was confronted with this her response was "oh, i guess I should have my staff communicate better." I am not saying my daughter is an angel, however the annoyance that the employees feel or express over children is appalling. The only positive of this location is that the facility is clean. I always paid the tuition on time in full and constantly inquired about her day, which was never truthfuly advised. My daughter is now enrolled into a preschool program where she is growing by leaps and bounds. Comes home happy, singing and excited to tell us about her day and what she learned. Also note that 95 percent of the positive reviews for this location are from staff at this center.

  • I can't say enough good things about The Learning Station. Our son has grown leaps and bounds since he was enrolled in the Pre-K program. Everyone who works there has always been fantastic with not only us, but most importantly with our child. I highly recommend The Learning Station.

  • Where should I begin? My son went here for 4.5 years. Over those years, he would often come home with bruises and scrapes. Oddly, none of the staff ever had any idea what happened. Perhaps it's because of the no cell phone policy for the staff that many (not all) of them routinely break. Perhaps it's because he was juggled between different staff all day every day. Maybe it was because the owner was too busy gossiping about the parents or even the children in their care. Maybe it was difficult to see what happened when he was in the "baby" room for misbehaving. Maybe no one noticed because they were watching another child they made eat carrots and watch other kids enjoy cupcakes because said child was excited about cupcakes. Maybe they were too busy begging for positive reviews of the facility ( well, at least the staff responded!) Whatever the reason, the final straw came when our son was injured on the playground. He had a significant bruise on his ear. It's not easy to bruise cartilage. When questioned about the potential head injury, the director told us it was ok because a fat girl fell on him. We weren't notified except for a paper that was filled out and left in his cubby. Not even a phone call or text. I do NOT recommend this day care.

Questions parents ask about THE LEARNING STATION

Is THE LEARNING STATION a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. THE LEARNING STATION holds Pennsylvania certificate 102092748-0002, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Luzerne County. The current certificate runs to March 24, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is THE LEARNING STATION's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates THE LEARNING STATION STAR 4, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on March 14, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against THE LEARNING STATION?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against THE LEARNING STATION at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does THE LEARNING STATION accept child care subsidy?

Yes. THE LEARNING STATION holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 11.

Does this page show inspection results for THE LEARNING STATION?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects THE LEARNING STATION's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
