  • My kid was abused by a teacher here when he was only 3 years old. They could both speak clearly and would tell me, “Ms. A hit me, Mom.” I called everyone I could for help, but the case was labeled unfounded because there were no cameras in the classroom. My children still remember what happened. That pain and anger never fully leave a parent.

  • I cannot stress enough how amazing Porter’s is! Finding QUALITY early childhood education is hard for so many reasons, but I cannot recommend this school enough. I wish they had a before and after-care program for school-age children because I would surely sign my girl up, but we’ll be back for summer for as many years as we can. The staff are welcoming and effectively communicative. I’m one of the parents that has a late pick up and maintenance is always cleaning every evening. The teachers are passionate about the children that they are entrusted with and that is a dream for any parent. I’ve enjoyed watching the growth of my child during her time at Porter’s and feel they have truly helped get her ready for kindergarten! Special shoutout and a deep thank you to Ms. Aisha and Ms. Tasha! Thank you, Porter’s!! See you for summer camp!

  • I was very nervous about putting my two year old in day care . He was home with me for two years during the pandemic. So we did educational learning activists on a daily . So he was ahead of the ball game and I didn’t want him to fall behind in day care. Porters came highly recommend from social works to early intervention professionals . From my initial interview I was blown away at the vast knowledge of medical conditions and the knowledge educational support they had. . I’ve worked with children in the foster care system for over 20 years and you don’t find many places that will support the parents in these areas My sons first day , I took off work thinking I was going to have to pick him up . He walked in the doors of Porters and never looked back He loves it , but not only him my husband loves it to . The staff is always pleasant , it’s educational and they really care for there children .

  • I love this school. I have two kids my oldest is now 7 a’but attended porters for daycare through Pre-K 4. My son is now 3 and has been here for Daycare through Pre-k 3. I literally afraid to take them anywhere else because I feel as though they won’t be as taken care of as they have been at this school. All of the staff are family oriented and cares and knows all of the children well and family by name. Safety, security, family oriented, Keystone Stars- check check check and check!!

  • Let me start off by saying that this daycare is a notch up from my daughters last daycare facility. Initially when I went through the orientation process I fell in love with the staff and how friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive they were towards the children. About 2-3 weeks in...the masks came off, and myself and my daughters father begin to notice a difference in some of the staff members. They weren't as friendly as they appeared, but nonetheless I continued coming in saying good morning TO THEM every morning and I guess the grunts and half ass speaking was their way of "greeting" us when they were politely spoken to. That TOTALLY changed my attitude towards certain staff members as well as my outlook on the daycare. You can't preach to incoming families about how professional your staff is and how it's like one big happy family, then turn around and do everything contradictory of your mission statement. They will speak to your children....and act like the parent doesn't exist, in which SEVERAL parents agreed when they overheard me saying that about SOME of the staff members...it's totally cool to me that they're choosing to look like clowns by showing anger towards the parents they have to see everyday, but it doesn't make me want to continue to patronize their business. I'm in the process of searching for another facility because I refuse to go through anything extra for mediocre services. Pros: • My daughter loves it and all of the other children seem very happy • Not all staff members are rude, just a handful of sour patches • They seem to genuinely care for the children Cons: • Everything above...there is plenty more issues to address, but why should I waste anymore of my precious time talking about a situation that isn't going to change But, everyone's experience is different...please don't let my comment deter you from placing your child here...this is only my experience!

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.
