  • I have been trying to contact this daycare to possibly enroll my son. A woman answered the phone in a very low, unpleasant tone "Teeter-Totter". I said " hello". And proceeded to ask about the availability, but before i finished hello she sighed and hung up!!! I called back twice and she kept picking up and hanging up!! This happened on 1/16/20 approx. 10:30am!!! Dear Director...Please speak with your employees about simple professionalism such as phone answering...It says a lot about your business. Blessings!

Questions parents ask about THE TEETER-TOTTER

Is THE TEETER-TOTTER a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. THE TEETER-TOTTER holds Pennsylvania certificate 100141315-0001, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Allegheny County. The current certificate runs to March 17, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is THE TEETER-TOTTER's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates THE TEETER-TOTTER STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on May 28, 2019. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against THE TEETER-TOTTER?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against THE TEETER-TOTTER at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does THE TEETER-TOTTER accept child care subsidy?

Yes. THE TEETER-TOTTER holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 5.

Does this page show inspection results for THE TEETER-TOTTER?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects THE TEETER-TOTTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
