  • Quality, caring ownership and great place for child care.

    Herbert SpeachOct 15, 2024
  • Wonderful facility, the owner is a very caring nurturing person. She cares about the children and their family. I chose this daycare because she has been in business for over 20yrs in my neighborhood, and everyone has always spoke highly about her. I have not one regret sending my kids.

  • This is one of the WORST daycares in south Philadelphia. Please try not to send your kids here if possible. The staff have NO respect for the parents and the owner has a very nasty mouth and attitude

  • Don’t send your kids here The daycare on the inside is completely filthy. There’s mold looks like some rooms haven’t been cleaned in months or even years there are bugs kids that are older are able to just walk around without any adult supervision. Most of the time kids are placed in front of a TV small section that they have for the playground is literally just filled with like random stuff. Some of the toys are like completely broken.

  • Don’t send your kids here. Security sucks went to pick my grandson up for the first time they did not ask me for ID to prove who I was. They gave grandson’s parents a hard time releasing him from their care ignoring all request to release him preventing him from starting a new daycare holding the subsidy funds. I would not be surprised if when were still getting paid weeks after his parents stopped taking him there. You can’t see what’s going on in there they won’t even let you past the Vestibule.

  • Totally unprofessional when it comes to taking the proper safety measures of the children. Safety is NUMBER 1 for any parent who loves their kids. Everything else comes second. They do not follow protocols & it’s obvious.

Questions parents ask about TIAERRAHS PLAYHOUSE

Is TIAERRAHS PLAYHOUSE a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. TIAERRAHS PLAYHOUSE holds Pennsylvania certificate 103456560-0002, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Philadelphia County. The current certificate runs to October 23, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is TIAERRAHS PLAYHOUSE's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates TIAERRAHS PLAYHOUSE STAR 2, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on November 8, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against TIAERRAHS PLAYHOUSE?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against TIAERRAHS PLAYHOUSE at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does TIAERRAHS PLAYHOUSE accept child care subsidy?

Yes. TIAERRAHS PLAYHOUSE holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 18.

Does this page show inspection results for TIAERRAHS PLAYHOUSE?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects TIAERRAHS PLAYHOUSE's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
