  • Our son went here for 2 years and we have nothing but great things to say about the teachers, Mary Beth (director), & Natasha (assistant director). They communicated well and prioritize student safety. Our son had many great experiences here and made many friends. We only left because our commute got longer after we moved. Highly recommend!

  • VELA is the best! The staff are so caring and dedicated to the kids and their families. We love the pictures and all of the daily info that the app gives us. I’m a teacher and was very fearful about finding a daycare that I loved .. VELA has been nothing short of amazing.

  • My son attended VELA as an infant and we loved his teachers. However, we had an incident where I noticed a bruise on my son’s head at pickup. I asked the teacher on duty what happened, and she said she didn’t know. The bruise itself wasn’t a huge deal, as my son was at an early walking stage and accidents happen. What I didn’t love is that on that particular day, as well as several other days, I noticed that teacher (who was a new assistant teacher) on her cell phone with her eyes off the kids while she was the only teacher in the room. So, I decided to make a phone call to the director, Missy, to make her aware. Her response, instead of a simple “I understand your concern and will reset the expectation with this teacher going forward”, was “We feel that your son came in with the bruise, and it seems like you just have something against that teacher because she’s new.” Her response as a director was defensive, off putting, and immature. Sadly, an experience like this can change your opinion on a business you love completely and that’s exactly what it did for me.

  • I rarely leave reviews but as a first time mom terrified to leave her daughter for the first time, the teachers and directors here are fantastic! They’ve been so transparent and reassuring, and know very intimate details about the day with my daughter! The transition back to work has been tough but as we’re learning what routines work best for us, they’ve been so accommodating. We’re always greeted with a smile and it’s so clear the kids are cared for and happy here. Looking forward to my daughter growing up through their program.

  • Both my son and daughter are current students and have been attending VELA since they were 14+ weeks. I would not look elsewhere or consider another school because their staff truly loves and engages with all the children. They have a play based philosophy and allow the children to learn through play, projects and living in the world around them. I have seen my children’s physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness grow and thrive. My children are excited to go to school each day and as a working parent I could not be happier.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against VICTORY EARLY LEARNING ACADEMY?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against VICTORY EARLY LEARNING ACADEMY at the time the record was published. Does VICTORY EARLY LEARNING ACADEMY accept child care subsidy?

Yes. VICTORY EARLY LEARNING ACADEMY holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 17.

Does this page show inspection results for VICTORY EARLY LEARNING ACADEMY?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects VICTORY EARLY LEARNING ACADEMY's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
