  • Very bad experience with a mix of poor management, poor oversight of kids (toddler our case) and lies from the school on what goes on there during the day. It was overall poorly managed - there was no consistency on teacher aids Present every day. I picked up my child different times and saw the ratio of teacher-toddler in the backyard wasn’t compliant with the state requirement. They mostly sat and watched the toddlers play outside. Our kid got sick every single week and we asked if they have protocoles for cleaning and hygiene especially back in COVID times, which they replied yes. We then just took their word and assumed it’s building immunity. The last straw was when our kid got bitten at three different spots the same day - clearly signaling there was negligence if another kid had all the time to bite our kid on the cheek, upper right back and left shoulder without any adult intervening. They didn’t call us and didn’t signal the 3-4 bites in the incident report but had only one bite marked which confirmed that not only there was no appropriate supervision (or Ratio teacher kid not respected or having inexperienced folks supervising kids) but also nobody verified if she was bitten elsewhere until we did at home. Our kid (1.5 at the time) was terrified to relive her jacket for two hours after coming home, just crying. It took some time for her to feel ok, safe and process the trauma. Our experience pushed us to look at other places.

  • My family will always give Westtown Children's Academy- A Willowdale Franchise five stars! My daughter loves the school! We sent my daughter to Westtown when she was a little over one! We were so nervous having her start at a daycare. Miss Ari made us feel so welcomed and ensured us our Daughter is in good hands. Within a week our daughter learned how to walk and interact with other children! The teachers are GREAT and love there job! This school is all around awesome! Everyday my daughter learns something new. Everyone at Westtown Academy goes above and beyond for every child! Jackie the director is amazing and really cares about every child at Westtown! I totally recommend this school!

  • Being a first time mom and taking my baby to day care was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Jackie, Catalina and Ari went above and beyond to make sure I felt like my son would be cared for like their own. Words cannot express how much love is felt at WCA. Miss Catalina beams when she sees my baby. I never have a doubt in my mind that he isn’t being held, loved, fed, played with, and cherished. The tadpoles app is a parent’s dream as well. Being at work and getting photos throughout the day is reassuring. I love when I pick him up and Miss Catalina and Miss Katie are playing music and singing with all of the babies. It is a beautiful welcoming environment that any parent would want their child to be a part of. I am so excited for my son to grow, learn, and make forever friends at WCA. It is definitely a special place.

  • Westtown Children's Academy has been the home of my children for the past 3 years and we can't say enough wonderful things about it. From the super fun curriculum, to getting pictures everyday on Tadpoles to the fun events that helped my daughters friendships extend beyond her classroom. We really love this school

  • My husband and I had to move a number of times when I daughter was first born, so we have seen our share of day care facilities. Westtown Children’s Academy is by far the best place that our children have been cared for at. The atmosphere is very homey and loving, and the curriculum is first class. There is a focus on a well rounded education, and not just the standard letters and numbers. The teachers are also very kind and genuinely care for the kids. I highly recommend this school .

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY at the time the record was published. Does WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY accept child care subsidy?

Yes. WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 19.

Does this page show inspection results for WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
