  • My daughter has been with willowdale academy in Gilbertsville for 2 months now and we could not be more pleased! All of the teachers care and take additional initiative to help the children grow. Since starting with willowdale academy, they keep us up to date on what the children are learning, how there day is going l, and they are always looking for new ways to engage the children! Definitely a 5/5 facility!

  • I am a Pre-K Teacher at the Kennnett location. I can honestly say that every teacher there loves every child in their care we strive to make the day as interesting, fun and sneakily educational as possible. Every year our hearts are full but tears are shed by staff as children graduate on to elementary school. It is a gift to be able to watch these children learn and grow.

  • We had our son at Chesterbrook Academy in Chadds Ford buy didn't care for it. Our son also did not like it there. We moved him to Westtown Academy and he's much happier, the classroom sizes are way smaller, the place is much cleaner, and the teachers are more interactive with the parents. Chesterbrook felt more like a babysitting service then a school. Our son now asks to go to school on the weekends =)

  • WCA is awesome! My daughter LOVES going to school there and we love it too! The Tadpole app is great for us, we love getting to see how she's doing throughout the day and the projects she's working on. My favorite day of the month is Art Day, the kids have made some pretty good pictures so far! The best thing about WCA is the communication, which lacked at the last local preschool we attended. By far, the best choice we have made in our daughter's early education! We'll definitely be sending our younger daughter there in a few years! Thanks WCA!

  • We switched to WCA after having our son in another local Kennett Square daycare for three years and couldn't be happier!! He receives much more individualized attention and the management and teachers have been incredible. They are involved in every little detail of our son's day and nothing falls through the cracks. The owners have been extremely flexible and actually act on suggestions/requests made by parents. I highly recommend WCA to parents looking for a daycare center in Kennett Square!

  • Making the choice to be a full-time working mom is difficult but having our son enrolled at Westtown has made it SO much easier. He loves the program, asks to go to school on saturdays and has learned tons. I can work worry-free knowing he is well cared for, given hugs and is learning so much more than I could teach him! Highly recommend

Yes. WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY holds Pennsylvania certificate 102111413-0002, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Chester County. The current certificate runs to August 9, 2027. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY STAR 3, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on December 29, 2025. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY accept child care subsidy?

Yes. WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 19.

Does this page show inspection results for WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects WILLOWDALE CHILDRENS ACADEMY's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
