  • This is truly a neighborhood landmark. They offer a lot of programs for the children. Afterschool programs, summer camps, enrichment programs, etc. The only negative is that the building is old and outdated. It truly needs a long overdue renovation.

  • I use to go here as a kid in the late 90's it was good times. The game room was my favorite and I enjoyed the field trips also. Ralph, Lonnie, and Swish were my oldheads back in the day

  • Went to pick up my granddaughter and they were told the day before someone different would be picking her up so when I went in and ask for her they just handed her to me I could have been anybody when it comes to children and living in this city we must do a better job at keeping them safe by going the extra mile!!!!!

  • I grew up here and later returned as an employee. The club helped me become the person I am today. I learned so much here. It is a good place to help children develop their character as well as their social skills. The club is an important part of the community. I'm thankful for those who helped me when I attended there.

Yes. WISSAHICKON BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB holds Pennsylvania certificate 100127370-0005, listed as "LICENSED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in Philadelphia County. The current certificate runs to July 23, 2026. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is WISSAHICKON BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania rates WISSAHICKON BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB STAR 1, on a scale of one to four where four is highest. That tier took effect on February 12, 2026. Keystone STARS measures programme standards such as staff qualifications and learning environment, not inspection outcomes.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against WISSAHICKON BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against WISSAHICKON BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB at the time the record was published. That is a single field in a snapshot, not a full compliance history, and it is not the same as a clean inspection record. The licensing inspection detail is at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch.

Does WISSAHICKON BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB accept child care subsidy?

Yes. WISSAHICKON BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 18.

Does this page show inspection results for WISSAHICKON BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects WISSAHICKON BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
