  • Went here as a kindergarten-first grader in like 2013 and got routinely beat up by the other students. Worst place I’ve ever been in my entire life. Would not recommend sending your kid there.

  • Will never send my kids back to this school . My son have autism with Seizures disease they don't listen to hem now we in a court bc of this . My son not the only kid they did this to . They say they can handle he after I tell them I don't think you can .

    Heather HockenberrySep 9, 2024
  • Do not recommend sending your child here. They claim they can handle children with special needs here but all we get is phone calls to pick our son up and not suspended for behaviors associated with Autism. I can not even believe this is associated with LIU. We have had meetings, iep evals and nothing changes with them. Just do yourself and your child a favor and avoid this school. Under staffed and terribly ran.

  • Was a student here. The place is FILTHY. roaches and mice in the bathroom, cafeteria, classrooms. They have a "life skills" class that literally consists of kids with special needs, and they do all of the cleaning, not the janitors. They scrub the dirty toilets and kill the roaches and serve lunch. They literally werent taught like other kids because they werent seen as "smart enough".They barely got paid, and some never did get paid. They treated everyone as less than people or stupid due to our disabilities... the lunch was absolutely atrocious. They literally served a slice of cheese in between a bun once. Also mildly racist

Questions parents ask about YORK LEARNING CENTER

Is YORK LEARNING CENTER a licensed child care provider in Pennsylvania?

Yes. YORK LEARNING CENTER holds Pennsylvania certificate 100126696-0006, listed as "LISTED" by the Office of Child Development and Early Learning in York County. Confirm current standing at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch before enrolling.

What is YORK LEARNING CENTER's Keystone STARS rating?

Pennsylvania publishes no Keystone STARS tier for YORK LEARNING CENTER. Keystone STARS is voluntary, so a provider with no tier has not taken part rather than been judged. Licensing and STARS are separate: a provider without a tier is still certified and still inspected.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against YORK LEARNING CENTER?

Pennsylvania does not report on this for YORK LEARNING CENTER. The sanction field is marked "N/A" in the state's dataset, which is not the same as a recorded "No". Look the provider up at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch for its licensing record.

Does this page show inspection results for YORK LEARNING CENTER?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects YORK LEARNING CENTER's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
