  • Young Scholars has been a wonderful part of our family’s story for more than a decade. When the first opened, my daughter, who is now 19, and three (3) of my nephews (all grown now) attended summer camp here and absolutely loved it. They still have such fond memories from their Summer here. A decade later my grandson attended the daycare until he graduated Pre-K here and had the same amazing experience. The staff are kind, patient, and genuinely care about each child. It’s such a warm, nurturing environment where kids can learn, play, and grow. We’re so grateful for the positive impact Young Scholars has had on our family over the years!

  • My grandson was apart of the PHLPERK Program. His experience there helped him with both his motor skills and behavior. The teachers were patient with the children and passionate about their overall growth. It was a very family atmosphere where safety was front and center. All the staff have degrees and are always working towards bettering themselves education wise. But the best thing about YS is the FUN the children have!

  • Disappointing behavior from the supervising staff. Although our son enjoyed his initial stay in the early stages, as he got older he would come home with different marks and scars, as well as bringing home coughs and sniffles. Basically sickness and trauma. On the last day of school my son was kicked out abruptly due to the offensive communicative skills relayed by the owner. “Come get your son!” “He can leave out today!” Are just some of the phrases that were used to demean my child and his right to be in school and learn in a safe environment. A facade has been placed to think this school is exceptional, when in the grand scheme of it all my child was a pawn to bring a check in the facility. No conflict resolution was used for my child. No professional resignation for my child after being kicked out. There was no care provided in the business of my child. He was pushed out like a shopping product coming off the shelf. Young Scholars has inconvenienced my family and work by not managing roles properly; when it comes to the safety of a child’s well-being the parent should be notified of all scratches, scars and bruises. He’s was recently being picked up and dropped off worried about another student that had been hitting him. When we as the parents addressed the situation we were told immediately to pick up our son because the owner didn’t have time to come to an understanding about the hitting situation, instead our son was kicked out of school with no references to source another school. Very disrespectful. Very dissatisfied. Very disappointed. They could feed them better too.

Does Pennsylvania record a negative sanction against YOUNG SCHOLARS DAYCARE CENTER INC?

No. The state's provider dataset records no negative sanction against YOUNG SCHOLARS DAYCARE CENTER INC at the time the record was published. Does YOUNG SCHOLARS DAYCARE CENTER INC accept child care subsidy?

Yes. YOUNG SCHOLARS DAYCARE CENTER INC holds a subsidy agreement with the state. The agreement covers these age groups: Infant and toddler, Preschool, School-age. An agreement means the provider can bill the subsidy programme, not that a funded place is free today. Eligibility is decided by your Early Learning Resource Center, Early Learning Resource Center for Region 18.

Does this page show inspection results for YOUNG SCHOLARS DAYCARE CENTER INC?

No. Pennsylvania completes at least one unannounced inspection a year at every licensed provider, and publishes the results through the provider search at compass.dhs.pa.gov/providersearch. Those results are not included here, and there is no open dataset of them, so nothing on this page reflects YOUNG SCHOLARS DAYCARE CENTER INC's inspection history either way. Look the provider up there and read the licensing inspection record.
