  BECC has been a dream start to schooling for our family! My oldest daughter is finishing up her first year at BECC this month, and my youngest will start in the fall. As a former teacher, my primary goal for preschool was for my kiddos to love going to school, to have a positive experience in a warm, welcoming environment focused on play and social/emotional growth. BECC has been all that and then some! A strong family culture, the BEST teachers, a clean, inspiring environment for little minds at work. My love for this school runs so deep after such a short time! In full transparency, I am also a member of the Board of Directors, but I joined because I feel so strongly that this school truly has brought out the very best in my daughter and so many other little kiddos!

  Community, happy teachers, and happy kids are the reasons we chose to send our two active and eager to learn boys Barrington Early Childhood Center. Our kids have spend a combined four years at BECC, and we have had nothing but good experiences with the school. We recommend it to everyone we know with preschool aged kids. Pros: Play based learning- the kids learn so much, but they just think they're playing. Happy Veteran Teachers- seriously there are teachers who have been at the school for 30 years! Face-to-face interactions on a daily basis with teachers- every day at pick up and drop off I get to see my kids classroom and teachers. Authentic assessments- the teachers observe and track student progress with pictures and notes, and then collect them all into a portfolio that they then share during conferences. Super clean- no gross preschool smell here Playground community- the playground is a great place to meet up before and after school! Non-Profit Status- provides opportunities for volunteering and involvement School Board of Directors- parents apply to be involved in decision making and support of the school Cons: The school ends at age 5- I would sign my kids up for all of elementary school here if I could! I am writing this review as my kids are both aging out of the school this year and I want spread the word about this school that has provided such a safe, loving, and supportive learning environment for my kiddos!
