  • Our child is in her second year at Child’s Play and has been thriving here. She is always so excited to go to school and adores her teachers, classmates, and the curriculum—I’m always happy to hear about the new things she’s learned. Being part of her classroom through our Duty Days is an exciting way to understand her experience at the school. The cooperative structure means that our family has to put in more time than we would at a traditional preschool, but the result is worth it. Being part of the Child's Play community and having insight into how the school runs is very cool.

  • We couldn't be happier with Child's Play Preschool and the exceptional experience it has provided for our family. The school's remarkable accommodation of our child's language needs has made all the difference in her early education journey. It's great to find an institution that both acknowledges and wholeheartedly embraces linguistic diversity. The pedagogical approach at Child's Play is refreshingly progressive. Rooted in play-based learning and a relaxed schedule, it truly aligns with what children at this tender age really need. Rather than a rigid, one-size-fits-all program, the school recognizes the importance of nurturing curiosity and creativity through exploration and play. The teachers are, without a doubt, the greatest part of this school. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine dedication to each child's growth are unparalleled. We couldn't feel more comfortable entrusting our daughter to their care. She absolutely adores her teachers, often coming home eager to create paintings or origami pieces to share with them—a testament to the strong, positive relationships they've cultivated. Perhaps most extraordinary is the profound sense of community that permeates Child's Play Cooperative School. In a world increasingly driven by self-interest, the school stands as a beacon of collective well-being and mutual support. It's an invaluable model for our child, teaching her that belonging to a community enriches one's own life and contributes to the greater well-being of all members of that community. This nurturing of communal values is something we deeply appreciate and believe will have a lasting impact on her character. We wholeheartedly recommend it to any family seeking a nurturing, inclusive, and forward-thinking environment for their child's early education.

  • Child’s Play is the best! The teachers are incredible and have been at Child’s Play for years. There is enough structure to provide consistency and routine while allowing kids to explore their interests through a play-based curriculum. The culture is amazing, in part because families are involved and invested so you really get to know the other kids and their families. I was worried that it would be too much for two parents working full-time but the time commitment has been totally reasonable, and the days you are in the classroom are really fun. As an added bonus, it’s also the most affordable option we found. 10/10, would recommend!

  • Our family has had a fabulous experience at Child's Play. The teachers are very welcoming, attentive, and experienced. They do an exceptional job at creating a warm classroom environment and getting to know each child personally. We appreciate the play-based curriculum, and the morning structure provides a good balance of freedom within play and also routine. Our child is always excited to go to preschool and we have noticed considerable growth in them during our time here. I have really enjoyed volunteering in the classroom, and see the value in observing first-hand what our child is learning, participating in their experience, and building relationships with the teachers and other children. The community is also very welcoming and there are several events throughout the year to connect with other families. We highly recommend Child's Play and have been very grateful for its impact on our family.

  • Our daughter is currently in her second year at Child’s Play. We have loved the that the school is play-based and the co-op model has allowed us to witness her experience in the classroom firsthand. Child’s Play is such a special community because of the parental involvement. It’s so comforting for me to know that my daughter has both incredible teachers and fellow parents in the classroom to support her when I am not there. I cannot stress enough how truly dedicated and experienced our teachers are at Child’s Play. My child requires some additional support. Between offering additional resources for her in the classroom to attending IEP meetings on their own time, the teachers at Child’s Play have played a vital role in our daughter’s growth and development. A maximum of 5:1 child:adult ratio has allowed her teachers to take the extra time with her when she’s needed it. We are very grateful for this very understanding, knowledgeable and autism-friendly community.

  • My daughter is currently in her third year at Child’s Play, and she has loved every moment of it. The teachers are outstanding, providing a well-rounded, play-based curriculum that fosters both learning and creativity. They also strongly prioritize teaching independence and self-advocacy, which has been incredibly important in her development. Over the past few years, I’ve watched my daughter flourish in ways that far exceeded my expectations, and because of that, I will not hesitate to enroll my second child when the time comes. Additionally, Child's Play is one of the few schools in the area that offers a program for two-year-olds, making it a valuable option for families in the community.
