I would be remiss if I didn’t share an incredibly scary incident that occurred while my 3 year old was enrolled at Learning Brooke-last month he and a peer were able to push open a gate on the playground, walk out towards Pontiac Avenue, and were brought back to the school by a passerby. It is only dumb luck that they were not seriously injured or worse. The school’s response has been abhorrent, they neglected to inform me of the incident until more than 90 minutes after it had occurred, did not alert DCYF, refused to show us the camera footage, and have not informed the families at the school of this incident. While accidents happen, Learning Brooke’s lack of transparency and frankly, efforts to minimize the severity of this occurrence speaks to the characters of both the director and owner. In response to Learning Brooke’s reply to this review-what I wrote was not “perspective” it was facts-the proper authorities were indeed notified, but BY ME, not the school, we were not informed for more than 90 minutes AND the owner directly told me they did not have intentions of informing the families that this happened. Also let’s face it, the fact that two toddlers were somehow able to get out a gate that was either unlocked or improperly secured, is unacceptable, not to mention where was the supervision? Perhaps had it been their children who eloped from the school their ‘perspective’ would be a little different.
Molly Lacher-KatzJun 25, 2026Both of our children attended Learning Brooke and we are so happy with the experience. The teachers and staff are wonderful human beings and they are thoughtfully tuned in to each child's interests. Learning Brooke has provided our kids with such a solid foundation in nurturing their creativity, curiosity and empathy. When the time came, our kids were totally ready for their next steps. We'll be forever grateful for the care they received here and for the friendships we've made as part of the Learning Brooke family!
Jillian FilletteOct 14, 2025Both of our children attended Learning Brooke. From the infant room through preschool, we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff is incredibly nurturing, professional, and genuinely invested in each child’s development. From the loving infant care to the thoughtful preschool curriculum, every stage was handled with care and expertise. Our kids always felt safe, happy and excited to go. The communication with parents was outstanding, and we always felt informed and included throughout their time at Learning Brooke. Thanks to Learning Brooke, our children were more than ready for their next steps, and we’ll always be grateful for the solid foundation they provided.
Daniel PiascikAug 27, 2025We were part of the Learning Brooke family for about 8 years between our kids and highly recommend it. The approach really allows children to develop their own interests and truly fosters independence. Both of kids had the same infant teacher 3 years apart which was wonderful. We have some lasting friendships that were started there. Everyone there is caring and kind and such a great place to bring your kids. We will miss Learning Brooke!
Emma FlynnAug 26, 2025Learning Brooke has been part of our life for almost 8 years. Both of our kids benefited from a full time experience. My favorite part of the school is the creativity the kids experience everyday. Each day there are new natural materials and objects for them to play, paint, color, act, dance, and talk about. The kids are always involved in an ‘outside the box’ indoor or outdoor activity. The Reggio Emilia approach takes some getting used to but honestly I’m so glad we embraced it and that are kids have grown up in this environment. Brooke and Melissa built our confidence with parenting and have been so supportive of our family. I’m always excited when people ask me about where our kids go and hopeful they send theirs there too! No experience is ever perfect but it’s how the teachers and staff respond that builds our trust and maintains a strong relationship.
Sheryl GuglielmoMay 17, 2024We have been part of the Learning Brooke family since our two children were just 3 months old, and we couldn't be happier with our experience over what is now almost 8 years. The care, attention, and love they've received have truly made a difference in their lives. Brooke has created a warm, nurturing environment that feels like a second home for our kids. Her dedication to providing the best possible care is evident in every aspect of the daycare. She's always available to talk, address any concerns, and ensure that each child's needs are met. Melissa, now one of the center’s coordinators, was our eldest’s first teacher at Learning Brooke. She has been a constant source of support and encouragement for our children over the years as well as us. Her patience, kindness, and genuine love for what she does shines through in her interactions with the kids. Our children have thrived under her guidance, and we are so grateful for her positive influence in their lives. As new parents, we also value the emphasis placed on conflict resolution and teaching our children how to just be good human beings. The daycare's focus on these aspects aligns perfectly with our values and has helped our children develop important life skills from a young age. Overall, we highly recommend this daycare to any parent looking for a safe, loving, and enriching environment for their children. It's more than just a daycare; it's a place where children grow, learn, and create lasting memories.
