The Children’s Workshop has been such a supportive, loving and safe space for my son who has attended since he was 4 months old. My son has created strong and healthy relationships with all teachers and has thrived socially and academically. As new parents my husband and I have also felt incredibly supported and understood as we navigated new situations with full support. TCW has been a safe space for us all and we are forever grateful to have had the opportunity to attend.
Courtney MaynardNov 13, 2025My 3 year old son has been happily attending TCW since he was 5 months old. TCW has exceeded my expectations in every way. To begin, when I was first interviewing daycares during the pandemic, Angeliz was so accommodating. I was able to schedule a virtual interview at our convenience, during which she answered all of the questions I had. Then, I was allowed to take a virtual tour of the classroom and meet his teachers. I immediately felt at ease with the staff and confident that my son would receive love, attention, and respect while in their care. Since attending TCW, my son continues to grow and thrive academically. A curriculum overview is posted in all of the classrooms and target standards/skills that are the current focus of the classroom are also posted and communicated to parents. Knowing what my child is working on and what they are discussing at school helps us facilitate conversations at home with him and helps us support his ability to apply his learning to the real world. For example, during a study about the sky and planets, my son took an interest in looking at the night sky. Now, he loves looking at the moon in the sky and takes great joy in finding the moon in the books he reads. I am so grateful to his teachers for always inspiring curiosity and continuing to instill a love for learning in him at such a young age. My son also continues to grow and thrive socially. He has made beautiful friendships with his peers and he is often greeted with enthusiastic "hellos!" and hugs from his peers in the morning. Throughout the day, I receive photos and videos through the Brightwheel app and am so impressed with the way TCW facilitates social skills development opportunities throughout the day (group work, meal time, game play, problem resolution, etc.). He is a sweet, friendly, engaging little guy and he learns so much about how to be a respectful, polite, and caring member of his learning community. Again, I am so grateful. I truly cannot say enough about the amazing teachers at TCW. When I was first choosing a daycare for my son, the thought of leaving him with someone else throughout the day was anxiety inducing. I knew within days of starting that my son was receiving the very best love, care, attention, and respect. The teachers warmly greet their students and families every day. The teachers create special relationships with each of their students and their families and work on supporting strengths and building individual needs with each student. They work tirelessly to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for their students and it really shows. Teachers - I am so incredibly grateful for everything you have done for my son. I would like for parents who are considering TCW to look at the 1 star reviews with a critical eye. Did these parents communicate their concerns with TCW and proactively attempt to collaboratively solve the problems? Did these parents then allow TCW to make adjustments accordingly to reconcile the issues? Or did the parents take right to the internet and leave a poor review that might preemptively sway your opinion of a really wonderful childcare facility? I implore you to do more research. Otherwise, your child may miss out on an exceptional learning experience.
Mary TraghellaJun 27, 2024So I brought my now 6 year old son there, he was 2 years old(after the pandemic). Yes I was skeptical b/c it was new folks but let me tell you it was the best decision ever! My son Stayed there until he went to kindergarten. I absolutely love them. They have been amazing. My son is very hyper and they knew how to work with him. They have always took the time and patience to understand him. The director Ms. Angliez is amazing along with the assistant Ms Alley. Communication is at an all time 10! They have literally became apart of my family. The teachers are amazing as well!! I have a good relationship with everyone in the building! They’re are very attentive, responsive, and caring. I now have a 16 month old that has been there since he was 3 months and let me tell ya I wouldn’t have my kid anywhere else. I literally call them his daycare moms. I love them so much, my youngest gets so excited when I bring him in! lol he forgets all about me when he sees them. I absolutely love the Children’s workshop. No matter where I go I will not be moving my youngest son out of there until it’s graduation for kindergarten. I don’t even have enough words on how to explain how much I love them! I have always been able to see what the kids are doing all through out the day with pics and everything through their app Brightwheel! Children’s workshop does all types of events like a Halloween cookouts or Valentine’s Day dance for the kids and parents. I’m very picky and weirded out by people but I trust them 💯 percent. I love these people soo much!!! I truly adore the bond I have been able to make with them, and that’s a rare thing!!! When the 5 years is up I will truly miss y’all! My oldest loves to come in there in visit sometimes it’s like pulling teeth to get him out. I’ll say it again I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Vee RichardsonJun 26, 2024We enrolled our 1 year old daughter here for a month and we couldn’t wait for another option to open up so that we could stop going here. First let’s talk security. It is a very relaxed policy. Yes they have a punch in code and a QR scan system through their brightwheel app to check in and out. However, I’ve had multiple strangers let me in, and there’s no policy asking parents not to hold the door for people they do not know. There was a time when we forgot to check her out, and no one followed up with us about it which makes us think that the security policy is way too relaxed and it worries us that our baby could be taken by anyone and no one at the facility would know. Next, the teachers. I had initial gut feelings that the teachers seemed disengaged. They were not very welcoming, and every time we dropped off our daughter, no one came to greet her. She cried every single day when we dropped her off, whereas in previous daycares, she was so happy to go to school. There were multiple times we picked her up and she was strapped in the chair crying while the teacher cleaned the classroom. There was never any communication of a curriculum for the week, which was initially promised during our tour. Since attending CW, our daughter developed an awful diaper rash that we’ve never seen before. We’d work so hard every night and weekend to get rid of the rash and when she’d come home from daycare the following day, it would be so angry and red. The teachers blamed her soft stool, but our doctor confirmed that infrequent diaper changes or harsh wiping would irritate the skin, not just the stool. There was a pretty bad incident where our daughter fell off a chair, bumped her head, and was under watch for a concussion. That was the final straw and we knew we had to take her out asap. I also want to raise concern about the cleanliness of the facility. I think this is more of a policy issue. When we first toured, it didn’t sit well with us that they were so relaxed about keeping our shoes on in the classroom. It felt really wrong to be dragging dirty shoes where babies crawled and inevitably put things in their mouth. Lastly, I want to raise awareness about the disorganization of the communication. Every conversation I’ve had with the director started with her apologizing to me for not following up or not answering. It was another red flag. All things considering, we wish we never enrolled her here but we didn’t have a lot of choices. I hope this daycare takes this feedback and makes improvements for the sake of other children going here.
Joanne PembridgeJun 7, 2024When I first started looking for daycare for my kids I started doing reasearch, places close by, the reviews everything. When I saw that Angeliz was the director here I couldn’t have jumped fast enough! I went to school with her and you could tell how much love she has to give! Her hellos and morning smiles definitely makes my day not only her but the rest of the staff. They all have helped me in ways they wouldn’t know! Even if the kids are sick they try to hold off calling as long as possible. The hours work so well with my school schedule and I also get an hour of “me” time. Both my kids come home everyday talking about every individual in the facility and the love they get. I would HIGHLY recommend the children’s workshop- East street to anyone and everyone
Latisha AmadoJun 25, 2021Toured this daycare and was very impressed! You can tell that from the top down everyone is passionate about what they do. I met with the director, Angeliz, who knew every child that walked in and their families. She spent an extensive amount of time talking about the different programs available, from early education to middle schoolers after school care. When I expressed concerns over my kids being sufficiently challenged, she quickly had suggestions for ways the center could keep them preoccupied. I definitely got the impression that she put her heart and soul into her work, having done much of the legwork to help the center grow during her time there. The staff is friendly and kind. I do think their parking situation could use a look over as they are off a busy Street and off street parking is not ample.
